Crap At The Environment is a ‘movement’ Mark began in 2007 to bring together people who are concerned about climate change and environmental damage, yet, until now, have been completely or fairly shit at doing anything about it. This crapness may have been caused by uncertainty about the issues, apathy, confusion, boredom, or just inclination to focus on more manageable things like the F.A. Cup.
Its members post blogs and share information here. The highlights of a year of amateur environmental crusading are catalogued in Mark’s book Crap At The Environment, published by Hodder. Meanwhile, as a result of his efforts, Mark was invited to train as a climate change lecturer under famous almost-president and Oscar winner, Al Gore, last October. The result of this is a work-in-progress environmental talk called Mark Watson’s Earth Summit which had its first outing in Melbourne during the Comedy Festival this year. You can watch a clip here.
