Orientation
Some new people will come to this website over the next few hours, because – barring some massive event like the death of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II, which would cause the cancellation of all BBC shows and which we all hope is unlikely – I will be on the Graham Norton Show about now. I thought I’d mark the occasion by saying hello to those people and tackling a few questions which I’m usually asked on Twitter.
Yep. Hello.
Firstly, then, my tour dates are elsewhere on this site. There are a few missing, probably – I’ve just added a Glasgow one for example, and am about to announce a London one in a SPECIAL MYSTERY LOCATION which will be exclusively revealed here. But you’ll get the gist from the ‘Live’ section.
I have all sorts of things like a DVD and novels which you can buy. I’ve got slightly too much dignity to post links to all these products here, but only slightly. I’ll limit myself to saying that you can safely ignore the first couple of novels but ‘Eleven’ is quite good and there is a new one out this summer which I think will top the others. This book will be launched in the summer with a SPECIAL MYSTERY EVENT THING which will be exclusively, etc.
If you’re the sort of person who goes to festivals you can see me at Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hay, Latitude and dear old Edinburgh this year. In Edinburgh I’m doing a regular show and a SPECIAL THING. Which will be, yep.
You will have noticed that I’m trying to make this interesting for regular readers with the promise of things to come. This blog is actually daily, pretty much. For around 500 days from February 2010 it was unbroken. Then I missed one. Then I started to give myself some time off. But it still gets updated worryingly often: sometimes with professional information, sometimes with hurried nonsense. Worth checking now and again. There are people who read it every day. (My stats suggest that there still are, anyway.) But it’s not compulsory to do that.
Away from comedy my interests include football, wine, literature and worrying.
Welcome.

I’ll now see if I can find you on the AA show … I may have missed seeing you on Tuesday but I’m really impressed that you organised these two shows to help me get over the disappointment!!! Thank you!!!

Is there an actual date for the SPECIAL THING in Edinburgh yet?
Comedy, football, wine, literature and worrying sums you up rather well, Watson. Although less of the worrying please.
