This is my Birthday Long Weekend of course, so blogging is more or less suspended. I’ll probably put something up here tomorrow evening – very briefly – to close the book on my 32nd year as an organism. On the 13th itself I shall appoint a Guest Blogger and you can all pay me handsome tribute. Any volunteers? Remember Very Late Review is still very much open to submissions.

Hasn’t the need for Guest Bloggers been eliminated with the cessation of daily postings? Or is that back on? Either way, I’m happy to apply for the post, although I suspect my variance from the apparent demographic (sex/age/opinion about social media) would make me far from the ideal candidate.

Hmmm Jen, before you dash off on your hols, we’re going to have to own up to not doing very well with the finger crossing yesterday!!!
Yes, folks … Bristol City went all the way to Hell City and lost 3-0 … the spelling IS deliberate! Sadly another game lost and now just one place above relegation.
I’m not quite sure what to make of the next match being on Valentine’s Day at home v Crystal Palace … KO 7.45pm!!!
Which of the male supporters is going to turn to his sweetheart, gaze lovingly into her eyes and whisper, “Darling, I’ve got two tickets to the game at Ashton Gate tonight … I just KNEW it was what you’ve always wanted!!!” Will be interesting to find out the attendance figures on the night …
Jen, I’m not sure how far away your well earned holiday will take you but hopefully you’ll remember to play your part on Tuesday as usual … we can’t afford to lose a single finger!!! Have fun Sx

Having spent the past week being horrifically ill, I unfortunately can’t offer much of my time this week as I attempt to recover and catch up with everything. Unless you want a draft of my dissertation instead of a blog. And no one wants to read that.
