Disappointment

Disappointing day today. But in keeping with new blog protocol I no longer blog about professional disappointments. Sorry about that. Back tomorrow.

Hmm, but if you’re documenting your life for your son to read about in the future, then surely you need to document the highs and lows? Don’t want him growing up thinking life is rosie, although it *is* a lot of the time. Sorry for the reality check, but if I was your 30 yr old son I’d feel cheated by this entry – so much that could have been learned.

    Or maybe I’m just a gossip-hungry, misery-loving git who relishes disappointment. :-)

If you want an art book to cheer you up I got a shedload of them for free off a guy I know from buying some zines ages ago….although that probably won’t help make your cruddy day much better thinking about it….Ta for talking to me about stuff yesterday, was really interesting and inspiring stuff :) Plus you made me chuckle, but then I guess that’s what you do….I sound like a right doof now…..anywho, was cool to meet you and I hope your disappointing day picks up and turns into a “moderately ok” or even “fairly reasonably good” kind of one :)

    Oh blow!!! BIIIG HUG!!!

Replace either of the first two words with any others that are deemed more appropriate …

‘deemed’ … now there’s an interesting word not heard very often these days … Try fitting that one into your conversation as and when appropriate … or inappropriate … whichever you deem is most appropriate at the time!!!

Hope you’ve been distracted and feel less sad today … x

Blech. I’d get all “It’s not a failure, just an opportunity to do something else” on you, but, in your place, I’d probably wallow too. Hope you perk up and persevere quickly, though!
