Back from Inverness. It took a while. I have just one show left in 2011 now. Dates for 2012 will appear imminently though, in case you ever thought you could escape. Also there’s a DVD. Do you know about the DVD?

and then you will rest, right?

I hope that means that you’ll finally get the chance to have a long rest. Although you say you’re done gigging, and I know you have TV recordings coming up. At least there’s no travel for those.
See you at the Wednesday one! x

Hello lovely, sorry I missed reading this last night, now working silly hours right up to Christmas Eve so don’t have as much time for the important things in life, i.e. friends like you. From the gap in your tour dates 2011 and 2012 (a whole month!!) I would assume that you are at some point resting, eating mince pies, drinking too much, sitting on floor playing Kit’s Christmas presents, watching crap Christmas telly, etc., etc. If you’re not and you’re working, then it would seem you’re a bit wrong in the head. Even I am taking a week off after the big day, which is virtually unheard of, I will probably be bored after day 2 (I think they call that one Boxing Day). Anyway, hopefully catch you at some point, I need to get the Watson family Christmas card sorted but I will probably liaise with your lovely sister about that when she comes home. Work beckons, by for now x

Hi Mark, I tried to post this a few days ago but it didn’t post, maybe because it had a url in it or maybe it was just having a bad day.
Anyway a friend of a freind writes a football blog in which he writes about his experiences of attending and watching football matches in an amusing and entertaining manner, and his latest blog covers Bristol City v Middlesbrough which I thought you and my fellow Watsonions might enjoy reading. I think it is especially informative for Watsonions who have never been to Ashton Gate or perhaps any football match!
The link is below if you do have time to have a read, and if you really like it perhaps you could give it a tweet or blog post.

P.S as a DVD extra I have been doing my bit to promote the DVD, but my friends and family have got used to seeing me for free so are a bit reluctant to pay to watch me mumble and stutter my proposal to the lovely Ellen.

My wife spotted you checking out of the hotel this morning. We were havng breakfast with the kids ..funny how the breakfast room appeared to also be reception (the main part of the hotel is much better btw).
She confidently described you to me as “him off the telly.”… but I was defeated. After an almost as lengthy journey home to the Isles after a family xmas shooping weekend – all trails led to this blog and it turns out she was right.
Sorry you didnt enjoy ‘sneck. Get yourself over to Skye next time -far more civilised. Ed Byrne came over earlier this year and “played” twice – once in Portree and once at Sabhal Mor Ostaig (University of Highlands and Islands in the south) and seemed to enjoy it…we certainly did.

I hope your journey home was less stressful, if still too long.
