Been to Ledbury, nearly deadbury
Continuing your education on the lesser-known parts of the British Isles. I have just performed in Ledbury. It is a pleasant market town in Herefordshire. You sort of go to Worcester and then nip across the Malverns and you’re there. If you still don’t know where we’re talking about, basically on the map, find Wales, then come back a bit towards England – but up from Bristol, down from Liverpool – yep. That’ll more or less do it. Hello.
I was on Gabby Logan’s show this morning; I was on Daybreak yesterday morning. I don’t really know how people do breakfast TV, let alone work on the crew, and succeed in being so chipper. In any case, I’m as tired as Bill Clinton was when all that scandal happened with his intern and he had to face the press/possible impeachment. My face is an awful craggy area like the face of someone aged 54. (Unless you’re reading this around that age or higher, in which case, 94.) For those of you who have expressed concern, I am trying to take time off, but it’s hard to arrange at short notice without pissing people off. I have cancelled tomorrow’s show, and one next week, on doctor’s advice though. And will be getting some sleep.
Buy my… what was it? Oh, DVD.

Bit harsh. We had that nice ‘Doctor and the Medics’ at the carnival one year you know, you’re not the only superstar to have visited. In fact, the local paper reported just last week (front page) that Shane Warne bought a custard slice in Ledbury. Deadbury? I don’t think so.

I’m glad you’re getting some rest.
I spent quite a long time lost in Bristol yesterday, during which time my friend and I saw a lot of adverts for your DVD. My friend said “he’s good looking for a comedian.” So there you go.

Suggest they show the … ummm, er … what was it??? Oh yes, the DVD and then get the audience to improvise or talk amongst themselves perhaps while you have a rest … at home!!!
And you definitely can’t look a second older than me because I’m the only Senior on here … OK??? OK!!!
Seriously, this is when you have to be selfish and think of your own health and wellbeing …
Rest … and the rest will feel much better and the rest of us will feel much better and well rested too… fight your way through that, young Mr Watson!!!
