Long time no sleep

I’ve been up for a good old while. I caught the train at 5.57 this morning. I’d like to salute the people who run Penrith station for keeping the waiting room nice and warm. I was quite surprised at how many other people were on the train: some seemed to have been on it since it left Glasgow at godknows o’clock. Any time you’re up horribly early you can only really be grateful that you’re not one of the people doing it every day.

So I now begin this run of three Ad Show recordings and the live Radio 4 show on Wednesday, as usual (the theme is Passion. Whoo!) … so you won’t hear much from me for a bit. But rest assured I’m doing all sorts. It’ll be worth it in the end for all of us. Oh and thanks for chest wishes. Today: 4 out of 10 pain. Fine.

I thought I was up at stupid o’clock to go to Amsterdam, but this beats me. And I didn’t have chest pains to deal with either. I will never unstand how you do it.

I will rest assured if you take what rest you can. Try and put your feet up and eat some All Sorts instead! Take care.

Try and get some rest between jobs & spending time with the family (even if it’s just 10 minutes, with a cup of tea & a biscuit) & I will see you at both shows on the Wednesday & I suppose there is no point in asking for a lift, as you’ll probably be on the back of a bike again, lol. Night.

Thanks for a great show tonight Mark (as always) and for taking the time to talk to the old codger that I call my hubby. “Nice bloke” is not a description he uses for very many people, he’s a man of few words at the best of times, unlike his wife (oh, you noticed that already). I think he may be a LSH, rather like Giles is a LSTM. Lovely to see Giles too by the way. Right, I’m off to bed, as I expect you are. Thanks again x
