(Not much) trouble at t’Mill(om)

After all that, Millom- although suitably hard to get to, down winding roads that would have made a robot feel ill- was perfectly pleasant. The audience was one of the most welcoming and (no coincidence I guess) clearly the most drunk I’ve had so far. As I was signing the books there was a fair bit of yelling in my face by middle-aged ladies. Also, there was a cage in the venue which they threatened to put me in; and I fronted a raffle. Another memorable night of going somewhere very few comedians go. My train home is at 5:55 tomorrow morning and there follows probably the toughest week of my career to date. So, goodnight.

What usually happens in that place that they need a cage for?!

Millom loved you Mark, hope you come back. Not many comedians can say they have conducted the raffle during the interval, and in such a classy manner. Seen a few comedians there this year including Omid and Jon Richardson and you proved best so far. Keep it up and look after yourself.

Hi Mark
I worked the bar last night in Millom while you were on. I must say i really enjoyed the show.
If i remeber rightly you got in the cage yourself lol. We never locked you in there though, that was nice of us.
I enjoyed your bouncy castle song and the raffle was funny, although definatly a strange raffle!!
It was a memerable night, thanks for coming to Millom. We hope you come back sometime. I would definalty come see you again.

Blimey. What happened to taking it easier? Remember to breathe. Remember to accept cups of tea. Remember to take time to marvel. Marvelling does the heart and mind a world of good.

But you get to see me on Wednesday! That makes it better, right? I might even give you a hug…

Go and sleep. I hope you already are.
When I read these blogs it really puts whining about NaNoWriMo into perspective, lol.
