Live from London
The pitiful thinness of the past couple of weeks’ blogs – only rivalled by the pitiful thinness of me – is a testament to the incredible amount I’ve been rushing around. I would rather not be quite this busy, but since I’d be a lot more unhappy if I were being generally ignored, I’m trying to see the positive side. Anyway. At last I’ve got a chance to write something a bit more substantial, albeit against a bit of a time limit because it’s already a quarter to midnight.
I’m going to use this ‘window’ to appeal for more people to come to stuff. Specifically, the Radio 4 recordings. There are still three to go. They’ve decided to release more tickets to try and get them excitingly full, rather than just acceptably full as the last couple have been. It really does make a massive difference to the actual show, what with it being live and everything. I realise it’s a big ask, because it’s 11pm in London, so most readers of this blog are out straight away. But just in case – well, there it is. Don’t bother applying through the slightly circuitous official channels; just leave a Comment if you want to come and I’ll sort it out.
Also, there are six more recordings of the advertisement-themed show I’m doing for Channel 4: three this week, three in December. This again is in London; let’s be honest, a lot of things are. Again, I can help you with tickets for this. It would be nice to have some support.
Lastly – I’ve got an eye on the time – there is an ambitious plan afoot to have meetups of blog readers/forum readers/people who like me in both the North and the South of England this Christmas. I shall be impressed if even one of these two broad regions manages to mobilise enough support, but you never know. Last year, if I remember, something similar was attempted, but snow wiped out the plan. This year: who knows? The link to discuss this is below. Remember: forums are not scary. Not always. Not if they’re about me.
PS: DVD.

* * * FINGER CROSSING FOOTBALL ALERT * * *
You may be thinking that I’ve forgotten to send out a finger crossing alert this weekend … ummm, well you’d be absolutely right!!! Oooops!!!
However, I could pretend it’s because BRISTOL CITY are not playing until tomorrow, SUNDAY 20 NOVEMBER away at THE DEN against MILLWALL FC, kick off at 1.15 pm … which is absolutely true but my claim wouldn’t be in the slightest bit true … plain and simple (much like myself!!!) I forgot … shame on me!!! Please blame it on a senior moment and make allowances for the elderly and infirm … PLEASE!!! Or just send money …!!! LOLOL!!!
I’ve given you the details already so will just add to all finger crossing supportive, adoptive and already established fans … you know the drill, fingers to attention and cross for the duration of the full 90 minutes plus added time!!!
Result to follow …

Unfortunately, even though we’re now living in the Big Smoke I think 11PM is a bit too late to get in for and be back at a reasonable enough hour to be up for work the next day etc
I know, I know, lightweights and all that, but still.

As usual, I would come if I could. Sorry. Eventually I’ll get to something, I’m sure of it.

Will be there next week. When Patrick says “circumstances changed” what he means is I am awesome, don’t you Patrick? Yes.

I would curse the Atlantic Ocean for getting in the way of my getting to any potential gatherings, but that seems somehow blasphemous, so I won’t.
But y’all have fun now, y’hear?
(Still haven’t sorted out the region issues of purchasing the DVD. Will ask my nerd brother about it this weekend.)

Mark! I responded to the email last week from Lianne saying that I couldn’t make it to any of the shows, because at that point I couldn’t, HOWEVER, circumstances changed and I found I could make it to the 23rd November show. I sent off another email saying so, and asking for a ticket, but never got a reply. Just want to make sure that everything is okay with that, just in case

I’ll be at both Mad Bad Ad Show & Live Address this coming Wednesday, I really hope it doesn’t go on too long though, Why they have to record so much material for only 40 minutes air time, seems pointless to me, unless Channel 4 introduce a new digital channel, called 4 Uncut.

Lovely blog.
Now, due to certain opportunities revealing themselves, I’ll be in London on the 30th of December. So…if you could sort me a ticket for the recording that night, that would be lovely and much appreciated.
Thank you Watson. Thanks for being fab.
xx

Thanks love. We’re contemplating Birmingham as a nice inbetween.
I’m planning to come to the 23rd come hell or high water, although tickets are looking sketchy.
