Up at 7 this morning for Something For The Weekend. Four hour round trip to London from the in-laws’. Had to grind celeriac. Promoted DVD. Had to write the next radio show. Did a show in Colchester. They were a bit quiet in the first half so I ‘turned up it a notch’ after the break. It’s 11pm now. I have a busy week. I think I’ll sleep.

Hello there! Great show last night. Thanks for ensuring my mates enjoyed it too. You have gained another couple of fans at least!
I have been spreading the word on Mr Goddard, and will wear my new tshirt with pride but anger at Mortgage advisors!
You mentioned a Polish version of Eleven I could obtain……..

Hi Lydia … I didn’t know exactly what celeriac was either so googled it and here’s the description as per the BBC website …
A large, knobbly root vegetable, the base of the stem of certain types of celery. It is from the celery family and tastes quite similar, but has a slightly nutty, milder and sweeter taste.
Now we both know … yay!!!

Mark thanks so much for helping my friend Rosie out, I still haven’t quite got my head round how amazing you are but I’m definitely getting there! I had to work today so I missed SFTW, not that I usually watch it, but as you were on it I felt a bit fed up at not being able to watch you peel stuff. As it turned out you didn’t peel anything and were really rather good, much better than Minchin when he failed at making pastry in that very kitchen several weeks ago. Once again, I think you may have the edge, especially where spooning under is concerned, bet he can’t do that half as well as you can

I thought you quinelled magnificently! (I’m sure you were right about that not being a real word) DVD definitely promoted well too. I felt tired just reading all of the things you did today. Sleep well.
