Gala night

Tonight I troubled my audience to think where I could maybe play in Aldershot next time, since the venue was a little too big for me, but the precious Aldershot one had been too small. Someone shouted that I should try the Gala Bingo. Well, you know the kind of man I am. I’ve already begun thinking about it. It
would be a new level to the Request Stops idea: audiences already at shows request civic buildings where they’d like us all to meet next time. It would carry on the Project Preston tradition of
catering very specifically to the plucky characters who come to watch my shows.

Yeah, I wouldn’t like to say there’ll definitely be a show in a bingo place in 2012. But I wouldn’t like to rule it out either. And I didn’t expect to be saying that a few hours ago. And that’s why we do live shows, isn’t it? The unexpected; the spontaneous. The chance that at some distant point you’ll be saying ‘all the fours, 44!’. Can’t wait.

The venue is one thing but I’m not sure you should ditch the comedy and just read the numbers, although I’m sure you would be excellent at it ofcourse.

I’d completely forgotten about those predictions, I don’t really remember writing any of them apart from the band name bit.
I’m also coming to Buxton with my very tiny friend Ellie & my very tall friend Amy- we’re all looking forward to it ^_^

DeborahF – just had a look at the predictions made, very interesting to see what people thought a year ago!

I don’t remember writing any of those things. I also now feel like a bit of a failure, because I still haven’t gone abroad.

The other day I mentioned going to see you in Barnstaple to my mum and she very seriously asked me if you’d think I was stalking you. Despite my apparently being a stalker now, if you did a show in a bingo place I would come.

Omg I can’t believe that prediction thing was a year ago. It does not feel like that long.

    Hi all

It’s been quite a while since I’ve left a message, but I just thought I’d help take care of some admin and remind you all that Saturday 29th October 2011 is the day set in the Prediction competition. In case anyone can’t remember what it is here’s an excerpt from that blog…

“I am going to ask some questions about what the future holds… specifically, the next year. You, the readers, must guess what sort of state the world will be in, in a variety of categories, on October 29, 2011.

A year hence we will see who’s come closest in the most fields. That person will win a tremendous prize. And I mean that, because I have a year to sort it out.”
