Small semantic amendment to the often-repeated news of the launch of November 17

Oh hello. I had a relaxing day as promised. Relaxing is quite nice. I can see why people quite often do it.

I was going to post a Very Late Review today but there has been an administrative mix-up so it will probably be some other time this week. We value your custom and understand how upsetting these mix-ups are, and are in the process of sending you a voucher to claim money off a future blog.

I need to correct something small but inaccurate from my blog about the Apple launch which I keep harping on about like a dreadful self-publicist. It is actually not, technically, the launch of my DVD, as you would think from the number of times I have used that phrase of late. The material is of course from the DVD, but what we’re actually promoting at the Apple store is all the download-y stuff you can get on iTunes. I’ll be able to give you more details about this soon. Suffice to say, any time I mention ‘DVD launch’ you should read ‘launch of comic materials available on DVD from November 28th, but also and excitingly available via a number of digital formats slightly before that date.’

I’m not really sure how anything works in life these days. I’ll be happy if you just observe that I have a comedy performance on sale to the public, and go on iTunes or buy it on DVD or stream it or capture it from Amazon or get it from ‘the cloud’ or take it cell by cell out of my memory or whatever the hell else you 16-25 year olds do these days. Google it eh?

I will still, physically, as Mark Watson, be in the Apple store on the night discussed (November 17) to discuss these proceedings.

Sorry if this is confusing, but basically it’ll all be fine in the end.

PS I know you’re not all 16 to 25, demographics fans.

I’m not even 16+25 these days, let alone 16-25. I still remember the shock with which I crossed the divide from the 25-34 age group to the 35-44 one. And then entering a competition on the Coke website upon which the oldest age group was 35+. Nothing makes you feel old like being put in the same demographic as Michael Winner.

I thought that you had already mentioned who did the interview for the DVD? Maybe I just made that up in my head.

I’m nearly 19 which makes me nearly one year off being 20. Bloody hell. Thanks for starting me freaking out, Watson.

I think that sometime before I am 20 I will try and come to something that you do outside of Devon. (Maybe).

Is this the bit where we tell you how old we are then? I think not! :)

Sorry for anyone who was totally disappointed by the Very Late Review Fail, which was actually a File Attachment Fail on my part. Yay me! Or, y’know, not.

Question marks are all very well, Lizzy but where have all the (brackets) gone???

I was wondering; I think you said something about someone comedic asking the requested questions for inclusion on the DVD extra. Has that been and done, or is that what’s happening at this ‘DVD Launch’. Or both? Or neither? Just curious. And if I haven’t imagined it, are we allowed to know who said questioner is? I’m probably making all this up aren’t I? Ooh, look at all the question marks.

This is the first thing I’ve read all day that has not involved Dublin being flooded. Thanks for something different :)
