Mark Watson Live DVD - Click to Pre Order.

Let’s launch this thing!!

Right, so a while ago I mentioned I was doing an event to launch my DVD. Did I say I’ve got a DVD coming out? Yep! Something to look forward to there. Etc.

I now have the confirmed details of this business and am in a position to publicise them. It will be on November 17th at the Apple store on Regent Street, in London (the capital). It’s at Apple because they are doing an iTunes promotion thing, so if you’re not able to come to the event, you will at least be able to get the ‘podcast’ or interact with it in some other way possible to those who use Apple’s wares.

But for those of you who might be interested and eligible, here are the details. It starts at 7pm. It will take the form of a Q and A in which I answer some of the questions posed by you, the readers, a few weeks ago (but ones which didn’t make it to the DVD). There will also be some questioning and general chat and I will talk a bit in the way I do. They might show a couple of clips from the DVD while I stare off awkwardly into space. Afterwards we all go to a strip joint* *this won’t happen, and shouldn’t.

So, you know. Fun.

It’s ‘first come, first served’, this thing. So to get in, you should arrive shortly before 7pm. There’s room for about a hundred people. This is all bravado but of course I’m slightly scared no one will show at all, and I’ll be left doing the event to those guys who fix your iPod and wear blue shirts.

But that’s not enough of a hard sell, is it, really.

So let’s compromise on the following message:

YOU MUST COME TO THIS. HURRY! But also PLEASE COME TO THIS OR IT WILL BE BAD FOR MY SELF-RESPECT.

Let’s launch this thing, people!

Hmmm. I might have a job by then (I’m waiting to hear back from one interview, and I have another 3 booked in between now and then. I know, right.) If I don’t have a job I will almost definitely be there, if I do then it’s a maybe. It sounds like fun though.

Oh, I’m currently listening to The New Pornographers too. Thanks for this lot, not bad are they? :-)

Wish I could make it, it’s the same night as a big work meeting thing though, which is compulsary although there is an open bar. Thursday seems like an odd night for both of these events but that’s the way it is, sadly. Hope it goes well though, I’m sure it’ll be a really good event.

Can’t wait for the live address either, I’ll defo have a look into coming down for that, although given that it starts after the last train has left I’ve got a horrible feeling I won’t be able to make any of those either. We’ll see.

    Good luck though!

Just realised Mark’s title could equally well apply to City’s fresh start as to the DVD launch and sales …

I’m confident that both will meet with great success!!!

What do you reckon, Jen??? S xx

Darn, it’s on a Thursday :( I was rather looking forward to attempting to come, but alas. I hope you get a good turnout though; surely enough people must be free on a Thursday evening.

[Um, for those of us who don't use Apple's wares, will we be told the answers to the questions at some point in the future?]
