I’m sorry I haven’t a Clunes

They sacked the Bristol City manager today. I feel pretty much totally responsible after my outcry last night. Sorry Keith. The results had something to do with it also. I’m applying for the job naturally and I will take you all as my assistants if and
when I am appointed.

Today Horne and I recorded the Q and A for my digital versatile disc (too many abbreviations otherwise) featuring no fewer than ten of your questions. Some others will get answered here in forthcoming blogs. And still more will be featured in the launch event for the DVD. That’s right I’m doing a launch event. It will be a low-key gig in a well-known retail outlet in London in the week leading up to the 28th. More on this soon.

I should quickly add that I am pleased ITV’s Doc Martin is back. Martin Clunes plays a grouchy doctor in a seaside practice. It
is a guilty pleasure of mine. If the producers of Doc Martin are reading can I please have a bit part? I’ll just play someone with a weird illness who’s briefly seen in a consultation. I don’t
mind. I can do a West Country accent. Saying ‘if X is
reading’ has never once got me anything via this
blog. Maybe this is the moment.

I think I would be quite a helpful assistant manager, and I am available to start immediately.

    The 28th of what?

And if Greg James can be in Who, you can be in Doc Martin I reckon.

Doc Martin is wonderful and Martin Clunes is too …

There, it’s no longer a secret and I don’t feel in the slightest bit guilty!

Derek McInnes of St Johnstone’s is quoted as being a ‘leading contender’ for the Bristol City job … What do you think, Mark???

But, if you ARE appointed, as one amongst your declared assistants … see you in the morning at Ashton Gate!!

Interesting to see which questions you picked for the DVD (I always wondered what the initials meant … thanks!) can’t wait to see it … :D

Stupid phone… A brilliant football assistant person. Football’s the one where you can watch it for 90 minutes and it’s perfectly possible nothing will have happened, then people get cross with eachother, right?

Exciting about the dvd launch. Fingers crossed I’ll make it.
