We’ve had two old-school opinion-containing blogs in the past two days, so hopefully nobody will mind the fact that today’s entry is going to be skimpy. It’s going up nice and early (thanks to the time difference, in fact, it’ll be before many of you have even read the previous one) but is essentially a space-filler, as I’m suffering from slightly unpredictable internet access and I don’t want to be caught out.

Still, since we’re here, I wanted to remind you that you can sign up for preferential tickets to my Radio 4 series with Basden and Key by going to the blog I wrote on September 5, entitled Live And let (Me Do A) Live (Show), as part of my occasional running joke of doing a blog title so cumbersomely adapted to pun on a song title that it’s nowhere near worth the effort.

The recordings, to remind you, are on a series of Wednesdays in November, but late as hell. 11pm to 11.30pm, in the centre of London. It’s very much in my interests to get a friendly crowd for what is one of the first genuinely live stand-up series to be broadcast in recent times (and could also be the last). So I’m sending this out to you blog readers before anyone else. Soon I’ll stick it on Facebook and whatnot, and soon after that the BBC will formally start giving tickets out to the people out there who don’t read this blog. I know, it seems rash to me too, letting in people like that. But there you have it.

So, yes, do sign up. But on the original blog, rather than this one – otherwise it gets messy. If you’re thinking ‘by God, I would love to go to those shows, but there’s no way I can stay in London’, I think there has been some talk of doing a sleepover thing, which happened after the live pilot. If this does happen I expect it’ll be arranged on the forum. Or in the Comments here or something. I hope it works out for you. I’m happy to do one or more of the shows in my pyjamas, if that helps anyone.
