I’m aware that every time I say ‘oh lots of things are about to happen, I’ll reveal them soon’, I risk looking like I’m trying to generate rather contrived suspense or pad out the blog even more than I usually do. Both these things are kind of accurate, but the main reason I do it is that I quite often have news about TV or radio shows but am not allowed to reveal it till it’s been officially announced to the press. I’ve misjudged this sort of thing before and been told off. So I’m just going to say again today that there are some things I’m excited about, but you’ll have to guess what they are until, ooh, maybe next Monday. Will that do for a blog? Well, sometimes the anticipation is the best bit.

Looking forward to hearing the news and now expect it to be of epic proportions along the lines of you are goint to replace McIntyre on BGT.

Personally, I’m hoping for the announcement of a new series of We Need Answers. I realise this is not going to happen, both because WNA was decomissioned and BBC4 itself is under threat, but I have decided to root for it anyway.

Erm, you know when you were at dinner tonight and this trio of slightly mad looking women came in and sat at the next table? That was me, my mother and sister. I missed out on my ‘Where’s Watson’ points because as a food person I can’t think of anything more irritating than being interrupted over dinner. I hope your meal went well- ours was great. I’ll make it up by seeing the next show you do here and saying hello through the proper book signing channels.
