After a strange week you might well think this is the day we finally go blogless, what with the late hour. But actually I’ve just finished this marathon recording of the pilot for Channel 4. I thought it went pretty well. But I’m sure if it isn’t commissioned I will stay calm and not write a snotty, petulant blog about it which I’m then asked to take down. After all, I’m an adult.
It was fun. Thanks to those of you who made the trip. I’m not going
to cross my fingers for this show because I did that
for the Dave show and it turns out superstitions don’t always work as I’d assumed. But the sentiment is there.

Do hope the babysitter waited for you to get back!
I really enjoyed the show, thought it worked really well. I hadnt noticed how long we’d been there til people started to leave, which is a good sign I think. Especially as all I could see was the back of the cameramans head for the whole thing!

Wherever it gets made into a series or not, I had a lovely entertaining evening, where I learned some interesting facts about advertising & had a good laugh & it was nice to have a quick chat with you too, along with Katy F. Night night.

You could try crossing your toes instead? Or your eyes?

I didn’t see the show tonight but if it made the audience laugh even half us much as the one I did manage to come and see, then it will have been worth doing your job for whether it’s commissioned or not. That may seem like a pretty ignorant thing to say, but you seem like you have had the stuffing knocked out of you this last week and being one of the most hard working and generous performers out there, it’s something you don’t deserve.
Enjoy Montreal and see you at the Fringe in just a few short weeks. I am only managing to squeeze in 3 days during an extremely busy month for me, will probably be shattered when I get back, but I can’t think of anyone I would rather spend time with in between the mayhem.
Sorry if some of that was a bit gushy. I’ll go back to being tired and grumpy now. Nite x

Great to hear it went so well tonight. And well done for beating the midnight deadline yet again!

Hi Mark, I loved the show tonight
it was really funny. I’ve literally just got on my train home but it was definitely worth it! I brought a friend with me who hadn’t heard of you (I have no idea how!!) so even if it’s not commisioned, you’ve gained a fan. Do they seriously record stuff for channel 4 at the BBC TV Centre though? That seems a little strange

Aw – glad tonight went well. It has been a weird week on the blog, but this thing is indomitable (or however you spell that), and so are you, I reckon.
I realise I’ve become a blog-watcher… I was getting a bit worried tonight!
