Hello.
The blog is still alive and well, as you can see. There have been some funny goings-on with it over the past 24 hours, but everything is fine. I shall describe the funny goings-on when times are slightly simpler. For now, this bloglet marks the continuation of something like normality. Thank you for all your comments yesterday – I couldn’t actually read them, though, because the blog disappeared, so feel free to say nice things all over again. Tomorrow I am recording this Channel 4 pilot and then on Saturday I’ll fly to Montreal, but the blog should be unaffected unless there are further difficulties. Thanks for reading!

What are you going to do in Montreal? I cannot see a show of yours announced. If there is a show I need to be there. Is there a show?
p.s. if you want to eat our national dish, poutine, don’t go to Banquise like most misguided tourists, go to Chez Claudette, it is delicious.

I’m so glad you’re back. I was worried after I saw the thing on the forum.
Will be offline a couple weeks due to going on holiday and not having an expensive internet phone. I look forward to catching up with everything.

I checked yesterday, and thought in my hangover state that I somehow had got the date wrong!! So although I wasn’t unduly worried I was quite confused. So very glad to see this and now know I can still get the date right even when not fully functioning!!

I’m glad to see the blog back, and I hope you’re feeling better! We’ve got yesterday’s blog post on the forums, but unfortunately not any of the comments. So allow me to say some nice things: You are a fantastic performer and wonderfully engaging with your fans. I love hearing about the behind-the-scenes stuff and I’m sad that sharing it has brought you grief. Boo to those people.
Also, do you have any details about what you’re doing in Montreal? What is the show called / what time is it / can one (such as, for instance, myself) come watch? It would be very excellent if I got to see you so much sooner than I thought I would =)

I’m still seeing some error messages instead of a couple of the blogs but maybe that’s on purpose. Anyway good to see today’s blog. Sarah’s right – maybe a bit of WordPress updating would help iron out the bugs.

Haven’t commented in a while, now seems a good time to check in, say hi and that I still love your books and think your shows are very funny. Still read the blog too. It’s insppired lots of quietly good things in my life in the last year so I’m thrilled it came into being. Thank you!

I cannot begin to express how pleased and relieved I am to see this after yesterdays confusion Mark. I was seriously considering pegging it over from the Chelsea Theatre tomorrow night just to ask if you were ok.
For those who didn’t see yesterdays blog it’s on the forum as screen capped by the 4 people who saw it before it vanished.
I do hope you’re ok, I was just being grumpy in yesterdays comment.

I was a bit worried when I didn’t see a blog yesterday! Just a note – I don’t know if this is what caused the problems but I know you use WordPress for your blog and websites are what I do – make sure whoever manages your website updates WordPress frequently. I can see in the source code that you’re running version 3.0.4 and that’s not the most up to date. (You might also want to let them know that there is a bit of code they can use to hide the version number in the source code from hackers/everyone.) And, daily backups!! Then it’ll be rare that blogs & comments are lost.
