Anarchy!

This will only apply to a very small number of the already fairly small number of people who read this blog, but as I once mentioned before, I am going to attempt a renegade book event at Latitude on Sunday. This is because they didn’t invite me to do the book tent this year. If this tactic works I shall try it to get other things I’m not officially offered. I’ll record an impro show and put it onto Dave when they’re not looking, for example.

So, basically I’m performing in the comedy tent at 1.30pm.
After that I shall announce that I’m going to be outside somewhere with the books. Then I will maybe stand on a box and do a little reading and ramble on a bit and maybe sell a few books. Like a cross between Del-boy and Harold Wilson.

And if it’s raining (which it will be)? Here’s the news, suckers- we’re DOING IT ANYWAY! That’s right, because I’m an anarchist!! I don’t care!! I would rather be WET WITH INTEGRITY!!!

Unless it really is, you know, horrid.

So basically there either will or won’t be some kind of ad hoc Eleven event tomorrow at a festival you probably aren’t going to tomorrow. Bet you’re glad I posted this.

It did rain though didn’t it! Ruddy bucketed it down. I was going to bring you over some sloe gin, but thought against it. A strange syrupy red liquid in a volvic bottle being thrust in your face isnt perhaps the answer to your sun god prayers. See you in St James!!! (or have you gone over to the bottle green side?) Xxx

I like this idea of a renegade book event. Good luck with it and I hope the weather isn’t as terrible as it is where I am! :)

I, not surprisingly, will not be in attendance, but I’m still glad you posted this! The idea of it makes me happy.

And I’m glad to hear the picnic went on, despite the weather! I hope you all had fun!

I’d love to be there for this, but sadly I’m playing another festival. A really tiny one.. what other festivals are you doing that you could do it at? Reading? :)

Oh wait, I thought it was Bishop’s current telly show but it’s his live show, so probably old news. And not exceptionally exciting news. I don’t know though, if it was me/us I expect we’d be excited any time we got mentioned on telly. But then when you’re sort of on telly and generally in front of people for a living, I guess not exceptionally exciting. Yes, I’ll just drift off again over here, try and pay some attention to something.

You’re in a Jon Bishop anecdote right now on his show. (Not a massive fan of his. It’s just on.) Still, he mentioned you nicely. Just reporting in. It’s like Where’s Watson points but like a 1/10th of 1 perhaps as… it’s not visual. And it’s not in person. It’s a mention. Yes, it’s Saturday night, yes, I’m bored. Hi!

I should say I’m here too. It’s been fun!

We’re in the V & A because it’s pissing it down. Chris just wrote a very long and lovely comment that everyone contributed to. It took about half an hour because he can’t use his phone. Sam deleted it.

    Chris P says hello

Sam says help I’m stuck in the V & A with a bunch of freaks- no escape, no escape.

Katy says I’m here as always and Watsonians are lovely.

Emily says she’s better than Sam in every way.

    Meg is now an alcoholic.

Claire, Misha, Natalie and Katie don’t seem to have messages.

    Have fun at Latitude!

I would love to go, to support your crusade, that’s if you know any sane people who can give me a lift or yourself can drag me along. At least I am having a fun time at this picnic & I will see you on Friday to make an apology because I am still paranoid I upset you via twitter ( even though I probably haven’t, but still think I have, because I’m that sort of sensitive person) Kx

I so wish I was there. It seems to rain whenever I don’t go so they should just give me the tickets really.

Wish I could be there, to offer my ridiculously big wimbledon poncho and giant nigerian umbrella. Have fun with it! xxx

You must do this! People, everyone, must read your book! I have just finished it, it was awesome!

You must write more, spit spot ;)

    Hope it goes well :)

You could try and make an umbrella tent.

I’m not able to go, as usual, but good luck etc. x
