(Ep)som thoughts
Nearly finished editing the DVD now. Without wanting to spoil it for anyone who wasn’t there, it looks (miraculously) like the Pringle has made the cut. If you were there you’ll know what I mean and look forward to it accordingly. Also the chase came out a treat. Even after extensive editing there are still quite a few shots of blog readers laughing, and a certain girl appears chuckling so many times that they’re talking about editing it down so she doesn’t look like some kind of a plant/nutter.
Tonight’s show in Epsom saw the completion of a courier delivery begun almost a
month ago. We’ll have a full set of pictures up soon of all our successful ‘drops’. Also tonight I did probably more new stuff (as in, not from the last tour) than ever before. A clear sign that everyone should get tickets to see me in the autumn when I am doing another 117 shows or so.
And it was in Epsom, so not even far to get home. Also, I have chocolates for the journey thanks to the infallible kindness of you people, some of whom brought them
to the DVD shoot. With Milk Tray you’re meant to sort of slide them out, but last night on the way back from Portsmouth I ripped the box to pieces like a dog in my impatience. Any minute now that hazelnut whirl is mine. Thank you, everyone that contributed to that (and the wine). Makes me feel warm inside. Which is a pity as it’s bloody hot in this van.

Think the nutter was my daughter lol, not surprised you having to edit it, has a mad laugh x

It would be rather cynical of people to think that she was plant, perhaps it is better to look like a nutter in this case.

I knew the chase would make it as i was making my way back to my seat and ended up watching the whole thing on the camera as i would have ruined the shot if I tried to get back to my seat, and it looked great on the camera I was looking at.
Also now the pringle has made it, without wanting to give too much a away, will the dvd come with a warning along the lines of don’t try this at home, as looking back it could be considered dangerous, and definitely something health and safety would frown upon .

I have been really bloody looking forward to the shot of Zoe ‘clapping and laughing like a twat’ ever since you mentioned it yesterday.

i was Epsom last night. A masterclass in thought provoking and intelligent comedy. Mark’s typing skills are secretarial standard. will make someone a fine PA if the comedy stuff dont work out.

Really looking forward to seeing the DVD just to see what this pringle thing is all about!
I saw the show in Berwick on Tweed and had a really great night any plans to come back?
I’m trying to get tickets (unsuccessfully at the moment!) for the Fringe shows too but will now devote (I was going to say all but in reality probably the next ten mins until the work internet blocks my access to fun stuff) my time to getting tickets for a show in autumn.

Glad you like the chocolates. I would have snuffled the hazelnut one first as well.
The Pringle bit was excellent, as was the chase. I’m glad to see that they both made “the cut”

I have heard vaguely about this Pringle, and was intrigued, so I’m glad it made the cut!

I bloody loved tonight and I was there and can report back. And it was wonderful.
And nice not to have to go too far home. So much so that I could meet my friend in the pub to take your advice and drink some wine.
Thankyou for the consistant funniness and joy.

Im glad the Pringle has made the cut! Very good news indeed.
I do hope you like the wine, I was in charge of purchasing and picked one that I like myself but it may not be to your taste!

Hurrah! Thanks so much for delivering my parcel, gents. It’s much appreciated.
And I am really, really, really hoping it’s not me you’re talking about in that first paragraph. Though I fear it may be.
