Those who may not be named

Well, yesterday you got a proper blog so hopefully today you’ll excuse the fact that there isn’t one. I am laying low after four straight shows. I have a bit of a cough and a bad throat but I can assure you I will still be endeavouring to ‘rip it up’ in Exeter the next two nights. I’ll see you there (if you are going; otherwise, very unlikely). Also – the main thing that happened today was that someone in the TV industry really, really pissed me off by doing something awful which endangered a project I’ve been lovingly working on for months. So if I did write a blog, it would be all about the stupid avaricious dickheads in question. But I’m just narrowly professional enough not to do that. So feel angry on behalf if you care to, or alternatively take a throat sweet on my behalf. Or just continue with what you’re doing. I’ll have a proper rant soon when the dust settles on this.

I hate throat sweets but anger I can do.

I’ll definitely take a throat sweet as mine is red raw too. I hope whatever bad thing the bad people did can be undone. Bastards. But well done for not naming names, however tempting it must be.

I always start trying to imagine what the awful thing is that a person did and then things get slightly ridiculous in my head. I can never think of a normal explanation.

I’m sorry they did whatever they did though, it’s so frustrating when other people are crap and out of your control. People shouldn’t be crap to you, you’re too nice.

I hope everything is okay with the project x

I shall see you tonight, I’ll be the one who looks slightly flustered and has that look of ‘phew I made it’ look on my face. Finishing work 30 minutes before the show and probably having had to lock people in the building because they were too slow to finish on time!
Hope the throat has improved and that the journey down helps rid some of the pissed offness. There are some first class knobs out there, may karma find them and bite their butts suitably hard.

I don’t have any cough drops, but I shall drink a nice cup of tea on your behalf, since that is what I usually do to soothe a sore throat, and to calm myself down when someone has pissed me off. So this tea will be doing double duty for both problems. I hope you feel better soon, and that the annoying person stops being a problem!

I am angry for you. A problem shared and all that…
Ha, and just as I typed that, Modest Mouse chipped in with the lyric: “God who’d wanna be such an asshole?”
    Timing.

    Hope you feel better.

I’m with Zoe. You’re too nice of a human for people to be jerks to you. I offer many virtual hugs and recommend a lovely hot toddy to soothe your throat (plus booze is always good). If you need a rant, you know where to find me. x

Hope you feel better soon and the pissing off person goes away

Harumph. I hate it when people upset you, I really do. And once someone has crossed the paths of the Watsonians…well. They won’t know what’s hit them. Probably a ton of ruddy ducks.
I shall see you tomorrow anyway, and hope that the weather stays as lovely tomorrow as it was down in the South West today.

    I shall do both.
