Shebang eve
Thank you for all the applications we’ve had so far to bestow copies of Eleven upon foreign folk. The deadline will be the weekend. There have been some strong submissions already, but nothing’s decided yet…
Today I ran seven and half kilometres, hung out with my small son and received quite a few emails from people along the formula ‘welcome back, hope you had a nice time abroad, now please address these really boring things that you were able to evade by being abroad’. Tomorrow I am performing in this enormous great charity shebang at the O2. Then it’s onto the pilot for the impro show I believe I have mentioned a couple of times. All (as they say) good.
I’m going to send out a newsletter to my mailing list over the next couple of days. All it will really say is that my Request Stops shows are now on sale, and a couple of other things which you’ll already know if you read this blog. Still, it might be fun to sign up, eh? I’m going away now to work out what I might say at the O2. In all likelihood, however, when I get onto that gigantic stage I’ll say something quite different regardless.

Good luck with both of the shows! I’m sure whatever you end up saying will be both charming and hilarious.

7 and a half km sounds far, I lost at several games of baseball and tennis on wii today. I did manage to hit the ball a few times though so it’s progress.

You were flipping awesome last year at the O2 Comedy Gala, easily one of my favourites of the night. I have no doubt that you’ll be just as good this year too! I’m sad that I won’t actually be there this time – last year they cut out some very funny bits for the TV show (eg about half the crowd booing Katie Price & Alex!)

I second the vote for wainscot to be added to the routine.
Good Luck tomorrow, I’m sure you shall be very funny.

seven and a half kilometres? what’s that in old money?
Good luck at the O2, although definitely not needed. You are a genius, the sooner you realise that young man, the better!
ooh biscuits! Thanks Misha, will see you there

Can we pick a word for you to slip into the o2 set?
I vote for wainscot.
Just, because.
Anyway, good luck tomorrow! And I shall be bringing biscuits to the pilot on friday for anyone what wants.

Hmm. Something tells me that there might be something else on said newsletter. Something secretive that none of the Watsonians know about yet. My Derren Brown psychic senses are tingling…
Good luck with the writing for the show tomorrow – we know what a cracking job you did last year, Mark. You’ve got NOTHING to worry about.
