I am heading into a territory where I fear I will not have Internet access for some time. I’m putting this up now just in case. New Zealand is all very pretty and stuff but we can’t have it cause a Blogless Day. A war with New Zealand would be very ugly- they’re gentle people. Plus it would involve so much travelling.

NZ is high up on my list of places to go, but it might as well be Narnia, really (and was in the films?), because I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to afford to go there. Too bad, really, because after yesterday’s election here, emigration to a faraway land seems kind of appealing.

Good lord man, where the hell are you going that has no webz? Is that just the drive up from Welly or has someone tricked you into believing that Masterton really is quite the destination?
Don’t put me in the middle of some weird war between both of my countries. That would be writing confusing cheques my arse wouldn’t know how to cash.

On seeing an emerging theme in previous posts, I would like to suggest that should the unthinkable, highly unlikely, definitely wouldn’t ever happen, non-blog day ever, ever, ever arrived (pause for breath!!!) the obvious antidote would be for all Watsonians to devour as much cake as possible!!!
This action … sorry, totally selfless action … would immediately act as a magical diversion and the day would be obliterated from the memory of ALL Watsonians, past, present and future … and calendars would be digitally adjusted accordingly …

New Zealand is a very long way to go, but if there’s going to be war and/or cake, then I shall make every effort to get there.

Today I drove home through the brecons and other lovely bits of mid wales, which (according to Stevie) looks remarkably like New Zealand. I wish I was back there.

If it was something we had to do, however unwillingly, you know we would. It is pretty easy to rally Watsonians. The promise of cake seems to do quite well.
I’ll mobilise my troops just in case. I’m assuming that as Lord of the Rings was filmed there, the war fare will be similar. I’m bringing my ring of power and a few elves.
