Dark past

I just recorded Adam Hills’s show. I was on with, among others, legendary Canadian songbird KD Lang. It was pretty cool. It will be shown on television on Wednesday, in Australia and its territories. That unfortunately is all I have time to write tonight, for complicated reasons. You never know with this blog. Sometimes it’s so long and interesting. Sometimes it’s basically a sad couple of sentences. If it were a person it would be talkative sometimes, very subdued on other occasions, and you’d start to suspect it had a dark past or something.

I’m now assuming this blog’s a secret agent – possibly even a double agent – with a very complicated life. It could tell us, but then it’d have to kill us….

I’m glad you were on Adam Hills and other Australian shows because know I’ve seen you and I am excited about more. And kind of jealous that you have written and performed so much and you are a year younger than me. However, you’re inspiring and excellent.

I’ve been reading the blog since day 1, though I rarely comment because I don’t think I can compete with the witty and intelligent comments on here everyday.
You’re lucky you were funny on AHIGST, Mark. I forced my sister to watch it and she laughed so much that I’ve just bought us tickets to see you next Friday (our first comedy gig!).

Yes! I was starting to think that I’d read it wrong and you wouldn’t be on this show at all.

I’m most looking forward to a show with you AND Tom Ballard. It shall be fantastic! I love festival time. Even if I get depressed about not being able to actually be there for another 2 years when I’m finally 18 (I don’t want to get drunk and go clubbing like everyone else my age, I just want to be able to get into comedy clubs. I need to find methods of obtaining a fake I.D.) I get great TV and radio stuffed full of comedians and comedy. It just makes me burst with happiness! :D

Maybe it is in witness protection and living under a new identity. Or just had a bad day.

Tsk, now if you’d only told us you’d be on with KD Lang (and thank you for capitalising her name by the way – that whole lower case thing has always bugged me), I could have given you a message to pass on about how she sang the greatest Bond theme never to be a Bond theme (Surrender – it’s the one David Arnold wrote for Tomorrow Never Dies, only to have it bumped to the closing credits by the presumably more MTV-friendly Sheryl Crow). Never mind.

Depends on what you mean by “dark past”. I don’t think I have ever done anything really “terrible”, but there is definitely some adventures I don’t ever intend on sharing with my children.

    Good night!

Blog suits my day, i’ve had a shit one, mainly being rained on.
If this blog has a dark past, I think it would be in a victimised way. I mean that in a nice way, I just can’t imagine it being mean, but it might have been assaulted and had to have an abortion or something.

    I’m overthinking.

    Hope all is ok.

Crikey sounds like me at the moment, I don’t have a dark past tho. Well, suppose it depends what you take into consideration!

I’m glad you had fun on the show. I hope the complicated reasons aren’t stressful ones x
