Skeleton service

The Watsons have now completed their epic journey to Melbourne. For
me this rounds off the famous Melbourne-London-Cologne-Berlin-London-Melbourne mission, which will one day undoubtedly be the inspiration for a specially daunting episode of The Amazing Race.

I regret to say however that I am still limited to micro-blogging, via my phone- an incredibly painstaking and fiddly business- because the internet in the hotel is down. I do fear this month will see the Blogless Day dawn unless this situation improves. Australia, you know I love you, I never shut up about how great you are, but you have to sort your broadband out. It’s a national embarrassment.

Mark – why don’t you send a word a day and we can guess what your next word will be … perhaps with a rule that it has to be different to any already used?

Might take the pressure off you and keep your loyal, adoring, following Watsonians suitably amused …

Enjoy Oz but not TOO much!!!

Was in Sydney last year and the broadband was out of action in my Hotel. Complained to the manager and he was nice enough to email me (when I returned to the UK) to let me know the Broadband was up and running again. Thought about travelling back to check but decided against it!
    Considerate but stupid!

Oh dear. The broadband here works, only not in my room. Annoying.

So I clearly imagined the gala thing. Maybe it was the opening night thing tomorrow I was thinking of? Or maybe I was just confused… Well, either way- glad you all got here safely, hope the internet decides to work soon and I shall see you being hilarious and excellent any day now. I hope you are on tomorrow night. You and Minchin in the same show is bound to be a treat…. And if a blogless day is looming, feel free to pop round to the YHA and use my connection :D

    Boo to sub-par broadband!

Also boo to date fails, Misha! *hugs*

Right well if you can’t blog we will just have to all agree to totally dismiss the fact that the day even occured and just carry on saying it’s been going on everyday and never ever let anyone know.

Oh I know. The broadband over here makes me despair. I really hope it doesn’t cause a blogless day!

I’m trying to imagine a military action between the Watsonians and Australia. Passionate though we are about this issue, It seems pretty likely that we won’t get far if they smile warmly and offer us a drink before we storm…whatever it is we’d be storming. My point is, sounds like fun and I’m in should the need arise.

If Australia causes the blogless day i’m holding it responsible. I shall not be pleased.
In my continued blog comment highjack, date was a fail.

I feel the government should be informed. There will be protests.

I hope you had fun x

Well we’ll know who to blame. But I have faith you won’t let it get in the way too much. Perhaps a word a day to make a blog last a week or so would be an idea and keep the suspense going!

    G’day cobber, etc etc
Someone should tell your web-folk that Shrewsbury is not in Wales. It’s near Wales, but so is Liverpool. Hope you’re enjoying Oz. Steve. *makes “call me?” sign*

If Australia causes the blogless day, I think that is fair cause for military action.

Yes. Could you please tell our government that? Apparently their sorting it out but by the time it’s done it’ll be outdated again. Well done, Aus.

Are you going to be on AHIGST this week? If so I hope you are having fun filming it right as I type!

I hope you get a good rest soon too x

I love the idea of this being the trigger to improve Australian broadband. What with the problems Minchin had with broadcasting across the country yesterday (apparently, not being in the country I can’t confirm what actually happened but gather it somewhat spoiled the performance) and Blogless Day fears you wo could team together as celebrity spokespersons. Much like Joanna Lumley and the Gurkhas…

Have a fabulous time but don’t get too comfortable because we want you back!
    ^_^

Hi Mark. Hope you have a great time in Australia. Don’t worry about a possible blogless day – you can’t help the braodband situation out there. Take care, Tracey x
