Perpetual motion
Well, I made it home. I now begin what will be one of the more perplexing weeks of my life, beginning in the air on the way back from Australia, and ending in the air on the way TO Australia. On Thursday I’ll fly to Cologne to talk about my book, and then on to Berlin to do the same on Friday. (This all sounds quite unlikely, I know, but if you look it up on Google you’ll see that my book’s been published there under the name Elf Leben. It’s quite a handsome volume I must say – an actual hardback, unlike the one that came out here – and joins the Polish version on my Slightly Wanky Shelf of My Own Books.) Then back to London on Saturday morning and straight out to Melbourne to arrive this time next week, when I record Adam Hills’ show. The Festival starts on the Thursday.
Gosh.
I saw in that article about blogging that there’s a threat of burglary if you publicise your movements like this, so please note that there will be people in our house for most of this period, and also our neighbours downstairs have one hell of a fierce dog.
See you tomorrow when my brain works a bit better.

I do hope you get a well deserved break after all this travel, touring, manic fun. I hope your agent also get airmiles with paying for you to travel, in these financial times, it’s one way to save some honk.

That sounds like your craziest week yet.

Comparatively I am doing nothing. I go to school, I come home. It’s all very fascinating.
That sounds really crazy. Sleep as much as you can, then surviving should be easier, lol. Have fun x

Wow! Busy! Elf Leben sounds like the stern cook in a childrens fantasy book. Great to see you on GNW last night! That show can sometimes be a tad needlessly crude (this coming from someone who uses the c-word more than most construction workers) but you and wil and fiona were all hilarious together. Good luck with everything.

An ideal start to World Climate Week…!

You’ll be on Adam’s show twice in a row? :O This is great news!
I forgot you’d be on GNW last night so I got a lovely surprise when you turned up and then Fiona and Wil was on my screen
I hope you are able to remember your own name by the end of the week (:

Bon voyage, Mark!
Now I can guess why you chose the theme of rabbits/hares last week, given that you’ve spent March “hare-ing” between continents like a mad thing! Hare-brained, harum-scarum to harken your hardback!

Wow, I’m just tired after spending the day in London.
I’ve just googled Eleven in French and now the French nerd in me really wants to buy it.

Phew, makes me feel slightly less busy just reading about your week! Hope it all goes well. And glad to hear the neighbours have a dog that won’t just lick intruders to death. Mine would wag and lick, possibly wee on them but certainly wouldnt see them off!!

Dude, that’s awesome/overwhelming! Also, I love that your book was published in Polish.
I hope you get to see a bit of Berlin. The couple of days I spent there were not long enough. I loved it.

I’m in the airport at the moment waiting for my flight back to melbourne from Hobart after seeing Tim’s show last night. It was lovely, and has been great to be home for a few days… Just wish uni didn’t require me back in melbourne! Will be very convenient for when MICF starts in a couple of weeks though. Looking forward to seeing you!
