So wrong it’s right

…is the name of a radio show I was on last night, hosted by Mr Charlie Brooker. It’s a sort of panel show thing ‘on Britain’s favourite subject, failure’, but that’s basically a thin excuse for the awfully funny Brooker and his guests to bemoan every aspect of life, as in all his shows. So really up my street. The other guests were Rufus Hound and Holly Walsh. I’ve not actually heard it, but it was certainly a good old laugh on the night. Anyway, the point is, I was so busy ranting about people’s anti-charity snobbery that I clean forgot to inform you of this radio broadcast, which is a poor effort considering this website is meant to keep you abreast of my career, more than my ranting priorities.

So – you’ve missed it, but these days you have never really ‘missed’ anything, thanks to genial old Mr iPlayer. So give it a listen.

And now back to that auction. Despite all my protestations that this was not some sort of ego trip, it’s only right to admit that I would’ve been a bit gutted if I didn’t get past £5. Luckily the bidding has gone past about two hundred quid at the last check. Which is an awful lot to be followed by me, or have me do a standup routine in your honour; in fact it’d be slightly over the odds even to move in with me (though Kit got it for free, I guess). But this is what I was saying. Charity. Everyone pays over the odds. Everyone wins.

My current asking price is only just behind that of Tim Minchin. If he and I had an ongoing partly-ironic rivalry, this is exactly the sort of time when we would renew it. So, er, yeah. LET’S GET AHEAD OF TIM. Although charity is the real winner, of course. Charity. No ego involved. None at all. Phew.

And an iPlayer link for that would be here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00z5zy3/So_Wrong_Its_Right_Series_2_Episode_1/

You’re ahead of Minchin by a fairly reasonable amount, now! Well done, Watson.

DoI have to bid using online things? I can’t pay moneys online :( I give to charity though… it just means you won’t be ahead of Tim with my help… XD

Ah, if I had money I would so spend it on making you follow my inane blather on twitter. You must suffer as I suffer!

Haha. It’s true. I am currently winning (or should that be owning? That sounds a bit creepy.) at £230. Mark deserves to go for more than that.
    :)

Zoe would like everyone to bid on Mark. That is all.

I never use my Twitter. I am definitely going to go and have a look at this bidding though. Not that I could ever afford to pay £250, lol.

Also, to anyone that got exam results yesterday, I hope all went as you wanted. x

The only person I could afford is Katie Waissel… And as even that would be a stretch, I think I’ll pass.

This is obviously a good thing though. HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MUCH THEY’VE GOT FOR THE INBETWEENERS CAR? Amazing.

I would bid. Alas, I don’t think I would be able to cope with the intense pressure and self-consciousness of having either of you following me. I’d probably never tweet again. Also, I’m a student- I don’t really have a spare £250.

I have the radio show to look forward to later when I have time to relax and listen. This makes me happy.

At the time of writing, you and Tim Minchin are both at £230, just so you know. It really is neck and neck!

It’s quite entertaining to see who’s fetching the most. It seems people really want to have dinner with Sue Perkins.

You’re beating Rob Brydon, and nearly tied with Lauren Laverne. Which I bet you never thought would happen when Kenickie were around.

It is of course not a competition, but there’s probably a way to scrape the info from ebay and make a leaderboard. It is of course though, not a competition.

You were right good on the ol’ radio machine. Charlie B seems to really like you. V funny, you were. V. :]

(It’s great for charity and all, but I don’t understand where all this money’s coming from for this TwitRelief. Who has £1000 to give out, just like that? It’s confusing my brain coz I’m actually worried for the people bidding. Can they afford this?? I do hope everything’s fine with everyone, everywhere, ever. )

I’m like those old people who are frightened of the internet when it comes to Twitter so I shan’t be bidding because it would be rather fruitless. I shall, of course, be hoping that someone pays an inordinate amount of money for the privilege.

I always listen to Radio 4 at 6.30 of an evening – usually some excellent shows on there. As there was last night….

It’s quite a lot of fun looking at how much money the celebrities are making. I can’t believe McFly are doing so well as they’re not even offering anything special.

And I shall look forward to listening to the show later today. The last series was pretty good so I imagine with a bit of Watson added in it’ll be even better.

    My nose is bleeding.
