Escape

Oops. Goodness me. I just woke up at about 5am, having fallen asleep by accident. My first Australian show went very well and I was quite drained afterwards, which sounds like a euphemism for ‘got hugely drunk afterwards’, but isn’t. I’m still slightly thrown off by the whole ‘being on the other side of the world’ business. Anyway, so I didn’t write a blog, and if I’d slept in a normal way I would have woken up to find the Blogless Day was upon us. But something woke me up. Perhaps a sound outside, or perhaps my brain is now so wired to this midnight deadline that it automatically triggers a kind of Blog Alarm if I’m in danger of missing it. In any case, let’s be grateful. This, although it might be some way short of midnight, was a very close escape.

That is all.

If you hadn’t been so quick to deny it I would have believed you but now i’m not so sure, maybe you did get drunk.

Went to the Friday show in Perth & loved it – Important message to anyone going to the other Australian shows – Arrive Early!!

Being wired to not miss the deadline would be helpful. It’s weird to think of your body adapting to it, lol. I hope you went and got some more sleep. x

I went to the 1st Australian show last night – Bloody fantastic! Viral even… Hope you’ll visit again next year. Cheers

Saw your show at the Regal in Perth WA last night, thought you were very entertaining – well done. Let me know when the pear ads are appearing in Australia, I now know what I sound (as a Dad) like when I cough and “at the end of it there wasn’t even a kangaroo”. Great night!

I think you’re hard wired to the midnight deadline. I know I am.

I hope you’ve gone back to sleep!
Perhaps setting an ‘anti-blogless day’ alarm will alleviate any worries. Glad your show went well, reminds me of one of my TYSIC: to go to Melbourne Comedy Festival!

    Time zones confuse me.

Well done, your dedication to avoiding the blogless day is impressive. Well done. I am not even doing anything as exciting and brain-throwing as touring Australia, and I have had several blogless days now … my year of blogging lasted 2 months … ah well at least no one was reading it! Hope you got back to sleep after blogging x
