Are you rather hot?

Good response to the poll yesterday to find the most desirable city for Sarah to live. Partly because of my helping hand and its zoo’s reputation for even-handed recognition of deserving parties, Bristol seems to be in the lead. If you read the blog carefully you’ll know that as well as a domicile, Sarah needs an ‘in’ to some sort of job in health/life sciences or at Bristol Zoo, so if anyone can help w with that, we really will be onto something.

A couple of people were surprised by my denigrating of the reptile house. It’s just that when I was small, I used to be terrified of snakes and I wouldn’t even look at one in a tank. When we went on school trips, I used to keep my eyes shut when I walked through the reptile house, and the ominous sense of the unknown and dank, foreboding smell was almost as frightening as anything I might have seen. Obviously, the more I continued this not-looking-at-snakes thing, the more of a horrifying unknown quantity they became, and I got really obsessed by fear of them, but luckily I matured and got over it, in time to become truly witlessly frightened of being struck in lightning instead. A fear which is ten times greater than any I ever had of snakes, and which I’m still struggling to get the better of.

Anyway. Let’s make some more dreams come true. This was posted after the live show on Feb 28:

Also if the guy that was hanging around at the end reads this, make yourself known, you’re rather hot!

I don’t know who this was – can’t have been Key, surely? – but it would be great if the person knows who he is and comes forward. I’d love to have the first Blog Wedding on our hands. If it’s you, get in touch and I’ll give you a more private way of doing it, in case you are shy. If we pull this off, I might begin a regular dating feature. We’ve got plenty of time.

I thought that I was afraid of snakes but at least I can look at them!

People seem to think it was me. I looked like a reformed pirate with a penchant for heroine. If it was me, then I can assure you that I am neither a heroine addict or a pirate. I wouldn’t mind being a pirate, pirates are ace.

If he was struggling to see over the heads of passers-by then it was Danny-boy.

If it was me, that’d be hugely innapropriate. If it was Sam, then they need their eyes tested, and if it was Dan…well, it was probably Josh.

Let’s face it, it was probably Josh :D

    Hello Mark,
Don’t know if you remember me, but you will if you think of the Gabblers Club.
The Grand Final Banquet takes place this year on Mon 28th March, and it will be the last time for me as I am retiring as Madam Chairman on that evening.
I am trying to reach as many ex Gabblers as possible, as I would love to have a good contingent there to say goodbye, and it would be great if you could come. Could you please put something about it on your blog as so many people read it, and might then get in touch. As we are in our 24th year, it is hard to keep tabs on everyone.
Its good to see what you are up to, and no surprise at all!! Well done.
    Shana

Blog-problem wise, I seem to have found that there are problems viewing them using Internet Explorer BUT it seems to work fine with Firefox. Potentially solution for some people.

Me, Josh, Patrick and Dan were the only Watsonian guys I remember hanging around. I think the money is on Josh being the mystery guy.

Yeah, to be honest Josh was the first person who sprung to mind. Not saying the others aren’t hot though.

The reptile house kind of scares me too, but in a good way. It’s really interesting but creepy because the poisonous lizards cages always look empty. In Paignton they have these weird guinea pig things in the same bit as the reptiles, which is just asking for trouble really.

Haha, I hope that guy sees it. A blog marriage would be awesome. A blog dating feature would be kind of hilarious. And a little bit awkward.

You can sign me up to the dating feature, I’ve been alone for far too long & would be nice to go to a show in London or Oxford, not on my lonesome.

I seriously thought that it was the 4th (well, that Thursday was the 4th) and I got slightly worried for a minute!
But, a dating feature sounds good. Mightn’t work for me because I’m in Ireland and not the UK, but even then, it sounds interesting to read about

Reading back my comment I should clarify it actually was a date. We had 2. It just didn’t work out like that.

Hmmm. Something tells me that it might have been Josh that they were referring to. But what I want to know is who the mystery woman who saw him was. I can’t have been a full blown Watsonian, as we all knew who everyone was. And had name post-its.

I need an excuse to buy a new hat, can somebody please get married?

What a lovely array of blogs to catch up to.

I am awful at knowing what places are like, apart from terrible (though possibly true) stereotypes, so I’ll keep quiet and not recommend the two places I’ve ever been in for longer than a week at a time: London and Edinburgh.

Also, I got sticker number 11 at your radio recording on Monday. This made me very happy.

Thanks SO MUCH! For the city/job mentions in the blog. Every little bit helps! If you need volunteers for the dating features, I’m in. I’ve been single for 5 years now, and I’ve had enough. You know, if this blog could find me a place to live, a job and a date, that’d be great! If you’re not doing anything else, sorting my life out for me would be much appreciated. (It’s a bit absurd really isn’t it?) You’d really think that I could do this on my own…

My friends made me join an online dating site the other night. They’re all in these ‘long-term realtionships’ you hear about so I think they’re all quite disappointed in me for being permanently dateless. They want to live through me essentially. They make relationships sound rather dull.

My favourite message on it so far has been “wanna f**k? x”. It was the self-censorship that tickled me.

Anyway, I think the point I wanted to make is that a dating feature would be hilarious. It would have to be more successful than that ^^.

Might I remind you Mark that this blog is already responsible for an attempted date?
    :)

If we’re using the blog to find people, I’d love to get back in touch with Jenny, Richard and Pete whom I met in the queue on Monday night.
