Firstly I am pleased to report that I am no longer dying of dysentry as medical experts believed I was last night. At the time I handed over the reins to Emergency Blogger Emily, I was shaking violently and sweating and my face was as yellow as Hunter’s Moon. Emily was scarcely any healthier herself, but she understood the crucial nature of her mission. Thanks for your well-wishing messages and in some cases, the nausea-combating advice you dispensed via Twitter. I can confirm dry toast and hot water with ginger in it (the majority vote) worked pretty well, which shows that if you need advice, you should always poll 49,000 people you don’t know. As I always suspected.

And speaking of 49,000, that’s unfortunately about the amount of ‘extra charges’ that certain suppliers add to the cost when you buy tickets to see me. This has been a cause of frustration for me, especially with this DVD recording in Bristol, for which I’ve done my darnedest to set the price as low as I was allowed. So, the thing to do is use Seetickets – link below – and you will sidestep about five quid’s worth of baffling add-on charges. They only have a certain allocation of tickets, so do it quite speedily, if you can. I think the same site is listing tickets for some of my Request Stop shows in the summer, so again, I highly recommend them. I’ve already promised to refund the difference in fudge where people have paid over the odds, but it would be good if fudge didn’t come into it for too many people.

Good good.

Reminder to those people down there: my Australian season kicks off in Perth in ten days. Also, up here, I am recording Charlie Brooker’s radio show So Wrong It’s Right, tonight. Mostly, he is recording it, actually, but I’m helping. You can listen to it on the radio soon. That’s how it works. I’m off there now. Bye!

Ah good you’re feeling better, I had food poisoning for the past two days and am now back to actual food again, and pretty darn excited about it.

Pleased to hear that you and Emily are feeling better. The dry toast and ginger idea was what I would have suggested too but as others had already done so I thought I’d mention that oddly enough, for some stomach trouble black tea with sugar in it seems to work. For some reason a small sugar hit helps me and with an upset stomach if you’re drinking tea it’s best not to have milk in tea again until you feel better.Having dredged that up from my befuddles mind this morning, I hope you, Emily and Kit have a great day. Tracey x

Dry toast, hot water + ginger – I’ll have to remember that one! Twitter is kind of like an internet version of “Ask the audience” from Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Glad you’re feeling better anyway :)

So glad to hear you (and Emily, I’m assuming?) are feeling better. And glad that I was with the majority in terms of advice, although it occurred to me after I said all that that that’s mostly what I was told for nausea, and I wasn’t sure it would work as well if you had other tummy troubles as well. Also, I like the amount of ‘that’s in a row that wound up in that sentence.
