Clear-up
Just trying to tie up some loose ends before the year ends.
Did we get a final result on the most popular birthday shared by readers of this blog? Last time I checked July 7 was winning, but there were so many replies that I may well have lost track a bit. Tibbs (who was keeping tabs on this), could you publish a final report? I shouldn’t be in the sort of position where I can commission reports from people, but that’s what this year has done to me.
Also: if you are doing a TYSIC, please get involved with this. It’s an attempt by a reader (Patrick) to put together a sort of annual newspaper in which people can report on how their challenges are going. This is ideal really because I love the idea of keeping abreast of everyone’s efforts in a more structured way, but I love even more the idea of it not being me that does it. A yearly round-up would be absolutely ideal. I’ll be sending a contribution myself, as people sometimes say when endorsing charities.
Also also: be prepared for the rest of the Giant Survey, following on from your disclosure of your birthdays. It will most likely be posted tomorrow. It will involve you shedding your secrets on a scale not seen since the McCarthy witch-hunt in fifties America. Brace yourself for the most appallingly thorough of inquisitions.
(NB I am trying to get ‘also also’ widely adopted as a way of introducing a second extra subject in a conversation.)
Lastly: does anyone reckon they have scored any points in that game where you had to guess the future? Off the top of my head I asked for, among other things, the winner of various reality shows and other things that may have happened by now. I remember one of them was definitely Christmas Day temperature so I hope you went low. Anyway – the original blog was end of October – I’ll check it myself but if anyone thinks they have scored yet, let me know.
See you tomorrow. Be ready.

This is one of the few blogs that I actually managed to reply to back in the day (albeit via proxy), but I wanted to add that I fully endorse this linguistic form you propose; I’ve been using “also-also” at the end of emails for years, and it’s nice to see that someone else uses it too!

I can only remember what I sadi for the winner of the apprentice and that was way off so I don’t hold out much hope for that.

Hopefully I’m posting this on the right blog, but I’m posting on behalf of Heather (Tibbs) as she cant make it work. Here are her findings:
My laptop decided it no longer wants to turn on (arg), so I haven’t been able to double-check this as much as I would like. But unless I’ve missed a few moderated comments along the way, I believe the list (http://tiny.cc/wbdays) is pretty darn accurate. So the following should be a comprehensive list of birthday twins:
12 January – amycool & James
02 February – Sarah & Heather Jones
08 February – Zoe Fell & Adele
12 February – Helen & tothesky
13 February – Linsey & Mark Watson?
13 March – LollyPolly & Helen & Tine
18 March – EmmaT & Lisa D
30 March – max & isabelle
01 April – Nat & Alexander
08 April – louisel & Rick Procter
26 April – Zoe & Ivan
05 May – sherbetjax & Misha & Someone
21 May – Megan & Alice
28 May – Matthew & Becca
01 June – TalksToRainbows & ShineUrShoesGuv
04 June – Ingrid & Virtual Lintu
11 June – Julie & JontyLarr
23 June – Hannah Mae & Dara
25 June – Lauren & Joe
26 June – Sophie & Marc
01 July – Katy & matt
03 July – Jamie/James & Ben Draper
*07 July – Helen & Natalie-Helen & Andy & Tom’s son*
20 July – A lot of Rachels & elin
25 July – Emily & Suzy
01 August – Derek & Cat & KG
06 August – Tom Beasley & Sam
20 August – Dani & Craig
22 August – Sue (DiB) & Matt
27 August – Micheal King & Kathryn
18 September – Rachel & Alice & Tom
24 September – Rachel / Pandora & Helen (Twins)
08 October – Daniel & Rachael & AlexY
08 November – Mark
08 November – Shell
14 November – Adam & Katie & Karen (K)
03 December – Melanie & Claire (twins)
15 December – Alan & Cathy
22 December – G. & Kay (Project preston fame)
26 December – Carl & Kathryn
28 December – mark & Sam
13 Mar, 05 May, 01 Aug, 18 Sept, 08 Oct and 14 Nov are all tied for second place with three, but if we count Tom’s son as an official Watsonian (and why not, start ‘em young, I say), that would make *07 July* the only date with four, and thus the clear winner! And as noted, this is also a good date as it is the closest to the picnic from earlier this year, which seems like a very happy coincidence to me.

I haven’t really done much toward my TYSICs. The main progress I made was getting referred for therapy but said therapy is a waste of time.
Maybe next year I’ll have something worth saying for it.

Hmmm, my predictions are going Ok…here’s my answer to no.6:
6. Matt Cardle will win the X-Factor, That arrogant stupid one will win the Apprentice (never fails), The jockey AP McCoy has to win sports personality, unless Amy Williams the bobsledder gets it. The Grand National winner will be a horse, that much I know. Probably called Barnaway Sandle or Grantham’s Boy or something equally ridiculous.
Matt DID win, (ding!) they’re all arrogant and stupid in The Apprentice, but Stella was quite mild on those scales (wrong) and AP McCoy DID win sports personality (DING!)
That’s good, no?

I spectacularly failed to remember the predictions thing … I’d most likely have got them all wrong anyway, so.
‘Also also’ may solve all of my problems! Well, some of them, anyway.
Shall have to go update my TYSIC …

I got Matt Cardle and Stella English winning the X Factor and Apprentice respectively, but no-one’s commissioned a celebrity-based reality show called Sewer Rats yet.
Also, to my eternal relief, Lord Dickie Attenborough is still alive as I have felt guilty ever since I predicted his early demise.
Also also there has been no blogless day – I remain incredibly confident that there never will be.

Hi Mark. I’m personally, very interested in the General Survey idea and am looking forward to your questions. Anything more practical tends to be more difficult for me with pain etc but I’m still interested in all that goes on.Regarding the reality shows which , being a newcomer I missed that particular piece, I do remember picking either Stella or Liz to win the Apprentice and I was pretty sure that Stacey would win the jungle show this year.I suppose I’d better go and wrap some presents – my least favourite job at Christmas! Take care, Tracey x

I’m with Miz for a NYSIC – mine should be to improve my terrible procrastination – if I ever get round to it! No… seriously,,,, it’s causing me huge problems.

I would also like to say that I also like also also …

This is the bit where I feel guilty for not setting up any TYSIC challenges or goals. XD Maybe I should start a NYSIC.

Bollocks, forgot all about the predictions thing. For the record I would have got the Strictly, X Factor and Apprentice winners all wrong so perhaps this was for the best.
I have also been shocking at updating my TYSIC but I’ll get on it tomorrow. Promise.

Three of my predictions came true: I did cry in front of my college tutor and I did meet Mark (and have photo evidence), and of course Matt won X Factor. There hasn’t been the headline ‘Price & Reid Split’, but there have been slightly similar ones…
PS: I like ‘also also’

I’m trying to prepare myself now. I feel like the Apprentice finalists in the interviews round.
The survey sounds very very exciting.

You’ve cleverly failed to link to Patricks project, but if people check the forum it’s there in “other”
I’d try and link myself, but i’m on the small humans computer and it just crashed because I scratched my leg (as far as I can tell).

“Also also” is already well in use. Definitely between myself, Aislinn and Katie, if not anybody else.
I say we roll it out though.

I got a job! That was the event I predicted in my own life. I mean, it was technically a temporary job that lasted for just three weeks and I didn’t even have to have an interview, but it was a job nonetheless! So points to me! But other than that, nothing.
