Chocolate dog

Doggles

Here’s that dog I mentioned, very briefly, yesterday. My agent recently fostered him (his name’s Billy) (the dog, that is; the agent’s name is Victoria). She can’t keep the dog, though, and she’s upset to think of him shivering in some kennel over Christmas. Not sure if he knows it’s going to be Christmas soon, but he’ll certainly twig when the other dogs start opening their stockings.

So, it seems a bit of a long shot even for the readers of THIS blog, but hey, we’ve sorted a fair few things out in our time, so: if you think you might be able to help with this, his details are at: http://www.alldogsmatter.co.uk. Which sounds like a pretty good summation of this blog’s core message, but with dogs instead of people. I mean, all dogs DO matter of course.

I don’t know what breed he is, I’m not much of a dog person (either in the sense of being a pet owner, or a hybrid of the two species), but, y’know, one of those brown ones. He looks pretty fun, anyway, and Victoria adores him.

There were a couple of Comments from might-possibly-just-possibly be interested parties yesterday, so fingers crossed. Obviously spread the word to anyone who might be better placed to house a pooch. I guess that goes without saying. If she wanted to keep this dog’s availability secret, I don’t think Victoria would have allowed me to write this blog about it.

And on the subject of logistics, we need to get cracking to coordinate this Tobloerone-share between winners Rhian and Sephy. Both of you, if you would be so kind, please let me know where you reside, so we can set up this chain or put you in touch with each other, or whatever stupid nonsense I’m likely to set in motion here. You can email me at aninterestingbloke@gmail.com. This is not my personal email (very rash to put that on the internet, I find) but a work address. All the same, it will get to me because my ‘people’ are instructed to look out for Toblerone-related communiques. They’re used to this shit by now.

The rest of you, await tomorrow’s post in the early hours of the morning, after I’ve done this show in Edinburgh. In the post, I will explain what’s happening with my DVD, and try to sum up the appeal of cricket. Among other things.

Shame I’m kind of in Australia… He looks like he may have some rotty in him. I like the markings from them, although I used to play Quake and one of the enemies in quake was rottweiler dogs so when I was young I thought they were all crazy mutated radioactive dogs. But apparently they’re not

I am very pleased by the idea that somewhere a memo exists that simply says
    ” To: MW’s People
    From: MW
Attention People! Mark Watson is expecting Toblerone – related communications of the utmost importance. Please pass on immediately. They are PRIORITY ONE. Repeat: PRIORITY ONE.
    Sincerely,
    MW.”

It also pleases me that you apparently send memos referring to yourself in the third person. You really are quite odd, you know :)

Hi Mark. Billy is a lovely looking dog and I really hope he gets a loving new home soon. It’s a shame Victoria can’t keep him as she obviously loves him and may find it a bit of a wrench when he has a new home.I admire your resolve in trying to make people see the appeal of cricket but I’ve never been able to, I’m afraid. I mentioned earlier being a tennis addict, which, I know lots of people also find boring. None more so than my teenage daughter! However, Rafael Nadal’s match against Tomas Berdych at the O2 this afternoon was brilliant. No, sadly I wasn’t there, just watching at home on the box. Have a great weekend everyone. Tracey x

I wish I could have him but i’m not really in a position to adopt anyone right now. I’m sure whoever does snap him up will be very lucky though. I am open to being converted into a non-hater of cricket.

That Ddog is adorable but Bob the Cat would not be impressed if I brought him home. I hope you find a Watsonian to take him in!

I said it on Twitter, and I’ll say it again, that dog looks like the happiest thing in the world.

Billy seems lovely, but not living in London, and (hopefully) leaving home soon, adopting him would be impractical if not impossible. We also already have a rather angry chocolate labrador.
I went to a cricket match once. It was free, and a nice man in the row in front explained it to us. Eventually it was fun, so I’ll join the pro-cricket team. Good luck persuading team “cricket-is-boring”, Mark!

Lovely dog! I wish i had a dog, and if it were up to me we would definitely adopt Billy… but unfortunatly i dont make these decisions for our family. Well i hope/am sure he will find a home before christams! Please tell us when he does. :)

Very cute dog! Wir haben ein Katz so we couldn’t house him, but I sincerely hope he finds a home soon.

I’ve been hooked on snooker since the age of ten, but despite my best efforts just couldn’t get into cricket. I really like the idea of going to watch a local game and understanding what’s going on, but I don’t think that’ll happen any time soon.

Alas being in halls means I cannot offer a home for a dog, but maybe soon.

For some reason all of the little drop down lists of blogs are in the down position and it really does look impressive.

I’m afraid I can’t stand the dog we already have so I won’t be taking the little guy. I hope he finds a home though as I hate the thought of dogs stuck in kennels.

Hmmm…cricket. I must confess to never having watched a game, but I hear they’re pretty long so maybe that’s not so rare. The only plus points I can see are the crisp white outfits, but they’re not as crisp as the baize and waistcoats of snooker.

I don’t think they’d be too keen on me having a dog here, and trying to get it home might be even more of a logistical nightmare.

If I happen to stumble in at some point in the wee hours of the morning I’ll try to check the blog. I’m being a “student” tonight apparently, and we’re “going out somewhere”. Christmas party funtimes.

I think cricket is one of the least interesting of all the sports inflicted upon me by my brother. It’s not nearly as bad as NFL though.

I’m afraid my charm hasn’t worked for helping Billy find a home. I had been trying very hard, and then when I popped along and found today’s blog with a picture, I hoped the lovely, happyness of the doggie would help. But no.
I wish I lived closer and could even offer a little help :(
Do let us know if and when Billy finds a home, helped along by this blog or not!

Oh God, he’s absolutely adorable. I wish I could even consider adopting him, but I’ve got two dogs already, and I doubt my poor Mum could hack another one, plus the logistics of the whole operation would be near impossible. But I really hope somewhere lovely is found for him.

I am exited to hear this DVD news, but not so much cricket. I’ve never really cared for cricket. It always seemed a bit boring and shit. Sorry.
