Catch-up service
Today I’ve almost no time to write a blog, but I notice from Comments that an increasing number of people are struggling to keep up with it. I mean, I don’t blame you really. It’s every single day. Imagine if you had to WRITE this bloody stuff.
So I’m designating the weekend as ‘catch-up time’. Those of you who are scrambling to try and keep abreast of the blog, only to find that new ones appear as fast as you read them, can now enjoy a chance to get back on track. If you’re one of the hardcore who have (amazingly) managed to read each one on time – hey, why not go back and relive some of your favourites, or leave Comments you never quite had time for before. Or, well, I guess you could just do something that’s got nothing to do with me. I’m not generally in favour of that kind of thing but it is a Saturday.
I’m off to watch rugby. Don’t get the chance very often – I’m excited. Before that, if you happen to tune in to Radio One around 12.30, you might hear me wittering on. But you’ll be reading this after 12.30, I expect. Wouldn’t worry too much. I expect I talked about my Hammersmith Apollo show and did some banter suitable for young people.

Cool idea! I can usually check in during the day (but not always comment because sometimes I just have nothing to say…) but occassionally I’m away from the computer, as I have been the last two days at “schoolies”, the end of highschool celebrations at the beach in Australia (consequently I am writing this at 1 in the morning to a chorus of “get your tits out for the boys” and bad techno remixes blaring through the window).
Might go to bed now. I’m pretty hardcore.

I was wondering about the DVD too, everybody else who has ever told a joke in their life seems to have one out for christmas so where is Watson?

I think I am all caught up on the blogs themselves; Had a bit of a lapse period with coming home from Korea / going to Edinburgh, but since then I’ve been reading pretty much regularly. But there are a few blogs were I wanted to read the comments but didn’t have time, so I might skim back for them.

I’ve had trouble catching up later purely because of computer/internet difficulty. I’m just setting up my internet homepages again. This blog is one of the 8 I’ll have and another for the TYSIC site. Some people say I have too many. What a load of codswallop!
I hope you’ve enjoyed the rugby and the rest of your day

Your blog never fails to make me smile – daily happiness.
I rarely read the comments, though. Is that the done thing? Should I read the comments?

This is the first time this week I’ve had time to read the blog properly on my laptop, rather than on my tiny phone screen on the bus home … so a catch-up blog could not have come at a better time

It was actually quite fun (apart from some wanker trying to steal money out of my bucket …)
I don’t think I commented about Kindness Day. I went to visit my Gran and did bake a cake for the staff, but I burnt it. So really, I was being kind by not giving them a disgusting, cremated ‘cake’. I did persuade my brother to entertain the residents with his guitar though, which did lift the mood of the place for a bit
And yesterday (I know it’s almost a week after Kindness Day, but that inspired me to do it), I wandered around town dressed as a pirate with a bucket for Children In Need. I was absolutely freezing and I destroyed my feet, but I helped to raise over £7,000
Yay for kindness!

I read the blog everyday with an rss feed to my email but since updating my email account, I’ve lost the feed
Anyone know how I can sign up again as I’ve forgotten how I did it the first time. Thanks.

Hi Mark, came to see you at The Warwick Arts Centre last night and without sounding like a complete ‘creep’, it was the best laugh I’ve had for a long time. Brilliant night, so ‘thanks’. PS. it was my husband that shouted out he thought you were the voice for the ‘Bulmers’ Cider Ad – oops. PPS. Boo! Sarah x

Hello,
After attending your gig in Warwick last night, I would like to invite you to join my class of 5yr old autistic kids. We play monsters all the time – in the time since September I have taught 2 non verbal kids to roar at me as an indication that they want to be chased. Tickling is also employed. The other 5 I continue to chase and roar at in hope that one day they will return the favour. A stern ‘no’ is also sometimes employed, occasionally with good effect. However, fundamentally everything we do is about the human connection – look we are in this world together, and we can have some great fun! I strive to create those connections, and really felt many of your words last night spoke to me and my little gang. Anyways, keep up the good work – humour will save us all!

Hmm, my commenting of late has become quite irregular. This is due in part to intermittent internet failure, but mainly because I’m lacking the brainpower to even come up with my usual drivel, let alone anything interesting.
When I’m at home and with internet access I read the blog though; I usually read each day’s on the correct day but if not I’ll always catch up.
I listened to Radio 1 from 12.30 (because I’d read this c.12.20) and I missed you. Harrumph.

I always check in. It’s become part of my daily routine – I don’t generally believe it’s a new day until I’ve read a corresponding blog entry, in the same way I don’t believe it’s approaching Christmas until I see the Coke ad. But my commenting has grown quite lax since term started. Often, I’m reading guiltily at 4am to avoid an essay due the next day, so I don’t want documented proof of my disorganised, work-shy shame. I only started following this blog properly in about May or June though, so I have lots to catch up on whilst pretending to attempt a Chaucer essay. And I agree with Rachel – your blog titles are a continued source of great amusement to me (It’s a Dundee-al, Derren-gement, PLatitutes and Mark The Weak are among my favourites).

I’ve read the blog every day apart from when I was in Edinburgh and webless. But once I got home, I caught up. Might catch up on those ones again just for fun.

There’s probably a few ‘lurkers’ out there. Lurkers make up 90% of online communities and usually fail to make a contribution to lack of trust (thank you wikipedia). So 80 people read yesterdays blog. Including me.

I read the blog every day, but I didn’t start until about April. I am reading all the ones I missed before then though, normally between lectures

I still read every day, but I get less chance to post comments or come up with something worth saying.

I’ve almost read everyone on time, apart from when I was on holiday and had no net.
I have no life.

I read everyday, so shall spend this time to reminisce about my favourite pun-filled blog titles, included ‘Its a Dun-deal’ and ‘Shirt happens’ (I didn’t have to look back to remember these, I’m that good). I also skipped back to read the picnic blog, because it still makes me laugh. We’re proper funny, us Watsonians.

I read the blog every day unless it is posted after 11 in which case I can’t read it until the following morning. But it’s always something to look forward to! But I will go back and comment on blogs which I didn’t get round to commenting on. Oh, ended both of those sentences with a preposition. I think. Oops. Sorry.
It must take a lot more commitment to write a blog every day than to read it so we can’t complain. Thanks for making such an effort to do the blog the whole time, Mark. Everyone appreciates it

I read this blog every day! That’s commitment. I don’t even want to think how you manage to remember it.

I remember reading somewhere you had a DVD out on November 15th, but Amazon says it isn’t out. Is it?
