You can trust me
This is another of those situations where I may struggle to get a blog in on time, and so I’m posting a ‘cover’. In the event that I don’t manage to do anything else, this will insure us against the Blogless Day whose incidence has haunted mankind for centuries.
I am looking out over a damp Sydney. The wet roads are gleaming under the streetlights. I’ve got a view of the city which you would struggle to believe if I described it. I mean, it really is a bloody good view. There you go.
If you are subscribed to my newsletter, you might have been surprised to receive an email from me earlier today. I’m trying to get back into sending email newsletters. As a reader of this blog, you don’t really need to be signed up – you’ll already know most of what’s there – but it’s worth it for the sake of completeness. SIGN UP!! You can do it elsewhere on this site.
So, yes, this is where I sign off, but with the caveat that I will try and be back before midnight. Anything that needs discussing, kindly bring it to my attention and I’ll address it in my later blog (if there is one). The stats on readership are warming up nicely, you’ll have seen if you are following the Comments. We have graphs.
See you later or tomorrow.
Still 100 percent record since the start of this blog in February. Watson: You Can Trust Me. (New potential slogan.)

It was the best email I got that day.

I think you could run for government with that slogan.
MP representing Watsonia.

Ooh, I didn’t notice you had a mailing list! All signed up now.
And I like Sarah and Anna’s idea of comparing birthdays. I share my birthday (May 19th) with Pete Townsend and Malcolm X. It is also the day that Alex Horne, while attempting to hit a bet-wining hole-in-one instead hit a pigeon in mid-air.
Congratulations on the unbroken blogging record! I hope it continues!

Hello Mark. My last comment was made prior to your departure to Edinburgh. So come on then. How did it go for you there? Was it a happy time or did no one turn up? Did you turn up? Turnips are on offer this week at my local Tesco. What a lovely place and it appears all the blokes working there support Liverpool. Now i don’t really care for that beautiful game but they think i do and that means a lot to them. Idiots.
If Liverpool have had a game i just ask my mam how they got on so i can be on the same wavelength as the blokes at Tesco. They all support Liverpool you know. Ofcourse you do i have already told you haven’t i. My mam really doesn’t care either way but she likes turnips and if she wants a turnip then she gets a turnip. She likes snooker and she told me O’Sullivan scored 148 but that he was not happy because he did not get a shed full of dosh for his effort but he scored it anyway. He is greedy that way. Ah bless him. He should spend some money on elecution lessons. I have a problem understanding a word that comes out of his mouth. He should go and live in Liverpool because i don’t understand them either and that is why i have only been once to Liverpool. I went there in the late 70s to see the Crusaders in concert and it turned out that me and the Crusaders were staying in the same hotel so i did get their autographs written on the back of the breakfast menu. Must be worth a fortune by now. Do you want to buy them? I have to clear your check first though because this is only the second time i have spoken to you and i don’t know where you have been. You may be flat broke with an addiction. Now what a turn up that would be.
Now turnips are dead easy to cook and bloody hard to digest. What do you want for 50p? Anyway i must go. I only got up to use the bathroom and now it is 4am. Think i’ll watch a dvd or no i know what i’ll do. It is raining i’ll do some gardening but i must visit the bathroom again and i will make a decision while i am in there. Adios. Cuidado. Paul.

I love the new slogan, it needs to go on badges and t-shirts immediately.
Ive been out with my ex-housemate, still current friend tonight and she was astounded that you’d tweeted me about my mates wedding and kept saying how amazing you were. Its true. Very true. And im now bringing her to your London show.

Nothing wrong with a cover blog. I’ve had an Ed Fringe ‘placeholder blog’ on my blog since August!
I missed the graphs…I love graphs…;) *goes to look*

Today I can sympathise with a cover blog. I’ve had a long day at yet another interview for the same job in London. Then I find out at 11pm that my flight on Thursday has been cancelled due to a strike by French Air Traffic Control.
Luckily I’ve managed to rebook with another airline the following day – but they’ve cost me a whole load of hassle and stress I didn’t need today – not to mention the extra cost of the alternate flight. Although I can get a refund I can’t claim compensation – I’ve checked already.
So if you need a subject for a blog how about ways I can get revenge on aforementioned French Air Traffic Controllers. The more outlandish the better
Anyway, I’m still furious but off to bed as I’m shattered – I’m expecting anxiety dreams aplenty.

After a day spent trying desperately to read the Faerie Queene (and failing) it is quite pleasant to read even a short, stop-gap blog which definitely wasn’t written in the sixteenth century.
I got the email yesterday. It made me happy. I felt encouraged.

My Watson email also ended up in the spam. I gave my outlook a good telling off for that, how dare they put Mark’s email in the spam folder. I might have to write to Bill Gates.

I found an email from Mark in my spam box. Don’t know how that happened.

Can I have a hug?
That’s my request for things to be discussed.

@Steph I’ve only recently seen it without all the holiday crowds and it’s growing on me too :].

Can we add to the Watsonian stats/trivia by seeing if anyone shares the same birthday?
Mine is 31st July, same as Harry Potter/JK Rowling, Wesley Snipes and, er Barry Van Dyke…

Just got in from a very tiring day at Sainsbury’s to an e-mail from you! Thankyou for putting a smile on my face:)
Lots of Love, Dawn xxx

@Someone
I LOVE DARTMOUTH! Very pretty…

I couldn’t believe I had an email from you just now. At the moment I’m looking out over a bleak, wet driveway, but overlooking everything is a lovely green mountain (although an energy windmill impairs the view a tad)
I better go, plenty of study to do now!

Scenery means no excuses for lots of inspired writing! Yay.
I was only thinking this morning when I got off the bus in Dartmouth how the harbour looked like some kind of Walt Disney backdrop what with all the mist and boats all still and mystical-like. Nice it were.
(& I think safe is good :], but this probably only adds to my self-proclaimed dullness. – ‘Someone: Someone dull.’) …

Sydney’s all well and good, but (when) are you coming to Perth?
And if your answer is that you’ve already been here… well the disappointment will be immense.

Another ‘cover’? That’s so boring! Blog when you mean to, stop being so safe! We laugh in the face of danger…..HAHAHAHA.
