Blog plucked from jaws of disaster once more by plucky Watson

Just wrote a 400-word blog, posted from my phone. It hasn’t worked. When I realised, I ran to a computer. Don’t ask me where or how. It was difficult.

We are getting very close now to the day when I fail to post a blog. I can do anything within reason, but I can’t factor in the endless duplicity and incompetence of phones, computers and other technological obstacles. Yes I realise without these gadgets I would not be able to post in the first place. But by God, they don’t half make me struggle sometimes. ‘Technological progress fail’, as young people say.

Still. This is going to be OK. I am posting something. Tomorrow I will re-post what I’d written tonight, as well as something new. So it’ll be a rollover. I’m sweating from having run to get to this PC. The soap opera of how long I can continue every day is probably more interesting than the blog itself, these days. But hey. As long as something’s interesting.

I think you should set targets for how long you can keep it up and give yourself rewards every so often. God knows what the rewards would be though.

    WOO ROLLOVER!

Do you know why it doesn’t always work from your phone? Perhaps a problem with the app? In any case, well done for getting something on here in time! x

Well done. Don’t worry about it, the rushed blogs give us all a little drama.

I look forward to reading the intended blog, however, I do enjoy reading the mad rush blogs about how you’ve come very close to missing the deadline. You’re in your 8th (?) of blogging everyday, so even if you do miss one, it’s still an achievement! x

Its like a low budget version of ‘Die Hard With A Vengence’. Our hero (Watson) overcoming obstacles thrown at him by the villain (Jeremy Irons in the film, in this case its Technology) in order that the deadline of blog posting isn’t missed. Very exciting

    Looking forward to the rollover

I think that as this blog is a feature of your TYSIC, then blogging about the struggle to maintain the blog is only appropriate.

I look forward to reading your intended blog post tomorrow.

Phew! Whenever you post a blog like this I imagine you scrambling towards a laptop, tripping over your feet, knocking things off surfaces, possibly carrying a cup of tea which is spilling everywhere. Hilarious. Though I know in reality what’s probably going on is just some rather intense typing.
    Well done anyway!

How exciting! Now this has finished my day, I can finally go to bed. You’re ruining my bodyclock, Watson! x

The drama is half the fun with this blog and twitter aids it especially with the new hashtag.
Looking forward to the rollover tomorrow!

And I can now both breathe again and go to bed.
    We have hashtag now.

Oh lord. We do love it when you cut it fine. Your commitment to the blog is just wonderful. x

I can confirm that there was much handwringing and anxious tweeting as part of the ‘soap opera’. Ruddy technology… if anything we’ve gone backwards… probably. A rollover sounds marvellous however. Rest assured, we’re all rooting for you on this blog challenge and we appreciate the commitment (not to mention the definitely interesting posts), so don’t fret.

The tension on twitter is probably going to have an adverse effect on some of us as time goes on. There’s even a hashtag now. I’m just glad you posted this so now I can go and get a cup of tea.

Your blog is always interesting. Long may it continue. As, I believe, is the general idea.

Disaster averted. I am exceptionally impressed.
(We now have a hashtag that we use between 23.00 and 00.00 to chart the panic and interest waiting for your blog creates – #MWblogwatch)
Still. MASSIVE kudos to you Mark.
