PLatitudes

Hi there. How are you?

I got back yesterday afternoon, late, and had to run straight to Newbury to do a show (‘run’ in a train, that is) and am now heading to the Latitude Festival where I will perform comedy, book readings and naked wrestling. Two of those anyway.

Thank you for all your world-changing efforts. I need a couple of days to catch up on them and to get the blog back on track. Many thanks as ever to the marvellous and malleable Corry for her caretaking. And to everyone who kept chipping in and saw the blog to its 5-month mark.

I might blog again LIVE from the festival, but on the other hand I may well find my phone is DEAD at the festival. So this is to make sure we don’t miss it. If you are at Latitude, say hello. I will be holding a mic or a baby.

… three days later, that first sentence finally made sense. *headdesk*

Welcome back :) (yes, I know I’m three days late. Sorry)

    Good to have you back!

It’s taken me since this blog went up yesterday to work out that the capital ‘L’ was there in the title for a reason. I’m not too tired, honest.

Also, welcome back! I’ve checked this with Zoe, and she says it’s definitely not weird to say this, so I’m going to go out and say it: I have missed your online presence.

Did you find your phone was dead? Or were you just a bit drunk? :P

Thanks for 2 great performances at Latitude- definitely the most entertaining book reading I saw this weekend (and I went to most of them). It’s very exciting to have the book before it is officially out!

It was lovely to meet you too- thanks for signing things and photos and whatnot. Hope hangover/tiredness isn’t affecting you too much today! x

And I hope you had a really good holiday. Forgot to put that bit in, lol.

    Welcome back [:

I kind of failed at changing the world, but I did listen to a lot of people freaking out about various life issues, so hopefully that kind of counts. I also learnt to juggle, in case I fail all my exams and am left with no other choice but to join the circus.

Welcome home! I like Latitude – it’s the only festival nowadays I get the urge to go to, what with me being ancient and pretty much festivaled out. Hope it goes well and you attract lots of new followers; I became a fan of yours after seeing you there a few years back.

@Megan Heh, no worries, I thought I’d leave you to it. Hope you had a nice chat, it was a good gig all round.

If you ever come to Argentina, I’d like to see some naked wrestling.
Nah just kidding, but you should come… I think we’d inspire you, this is a weird country, you know, in the worst possible way.

What K said. (And hallo again! Sorry if I seemed a bit dazed…jetlag en hostie.)

The folks who get to see the show in Edinburgh or elsewhere are in for a treat.

I don’t think Newbury suffered at all for the rush, looked like you had plenty of preparation time, very profesh.

Have fun at Latitude Mark, wish I was going! You’ll just have to write a blog about it sometime :) x
