How to Speak Gibberish
Well, today Watsonians saw each other’s faces for the first official picnic. It started under the leaf depositing tree, with ever-increasing amounts of crackling leaves. Them we all munched on delicious noms, including moe made cakes, biscuits, strawberries, sweets, brownies, leaves and most importantly cheese and ham rolls, made by Kirsty-face. Magically and erratically we witnessed grasshoppery mischief unfold, crawling all over Rick’s ginormous … back.
Afterwards everone discussed our main reason for being there, and then we decided that Mark is excellent. Eventually we began to write more and more aout this daft venture, resulting in chaotic paragraphs of magic and facifulness which descended into madness.

Note: It was suggested that the blog ought to be a collaboration, and so for a bit of fun we thought that perhaps we’d do a paragraph each, the suggestion was made that we could all do it for a sentance or two. In the end we wrote the entire mini blog in that manner. All grammar and questionable syntax have been faithfully reproduced. My brother picked the title. The original can be seen here http://twitpic.com/24haah in fuzzy format until I have time to work the scanner.

Glad you all had a good time! And what a great way of sorting the blog out!

Easy way out with connective words, I definitely didn’t do that…
It was a great day all in all and sorry I dashed off so abruptly!

Am really glad to hear everyone had a good time. Am still gutted I missed you. I must have been so close to you, never knowing!
There’s a lesson to be learned from this experience!
Great collective blog too! x

Hooray for the first Watsonian’s perfect prefect picnickers’ picnic! (prefect badges anyone?)
Just to clarify – this bizarre blog was cobbled together by us passing around a pad of paper & pen and each adding a single (or hyphenated) word each at a time! IT TOOK AGES!!!! And it was really tricky at times as people took the meaning in different directions, or took the easy way out (?!) by adding another adjective or connective.
By the way, I think a few typos (understandably due to hasty attempt to upload) weren’t in the original (it’s bad enough, so please forgive this pedantry to save our collective reputation!l): For example, definitely ”Then we all munched….’ ‘…home-made cakes’ and (in final paragraph) ‘everyone’, ‘about’ and ‘fanciful’
Just a few extra additional comments:
The ham and cheese rolls made by Kirsty (made as part of her TYSIC to combat her cheese-phobia) were delicious.
I have a photographic evidence of the grasshopper on Rick’s….back.
Aislinn made a picture of Mark’s face out of the wind-blown catkins and leaves.
I think it was Terry and Vicky who arrived after the group photo was taken, but there’s other photos with them in (I haven’t managed to get most of my photos uploaded yet as they’re trapped on my camera and I’ve mislaid the cable – grrrr)
I left too early to participate in the pedalo adventure – not sure how many indulged in a spot of Serpentine boating? – maybe someone else could add some info on this grand finale to the picnic?
All in all it was a lovely, lovely event – I really enjoyed meeting everyone, and hope to see you all again sometime soon!

This is my favourite collaboration of the day I think.

That sounds like it was great. I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves.

It’s up! Yay!
It looked longer when we wrote it.

Incredibly gutted I missed it. Would be lovely to meet you all at some point…

Oh yes, incidentally, if anyone wants to see the pictures then they’re up on my Facebook page (which my username normally links to, if it’s bored of my Twitter page).

I had a fabulous time! And have also found tree in random places. It was lovely to meet all of you and would definately recommend meeting strangers off the internet to anyone!
^_^

I especially like the ellipsis before the final word. I can only feel it adds gravitas to our otherwise slightly shabby blog.
It was a brilliantly fun time, though, and I can only wish I was able to stay for longer! (And highly recommend this sort of thing to anyone in the near or distant future.)

I love it.
I’m still gutted that I couldn’t come. Although I must say a massive thank you to Misha for ringing me from the picnic whilst I was on my lunch break. It was really lovely to hear a few of you. And I’ve now seen the pictures thanks to Aislinn, it looks like you had a fabulous time.

It took us so long to write a word each I thought it was much longer!
I’m still finding bits of tree in my handbag too.
Nice to meet you all
